Jennifer Stewart bio

Jennifer Stewart lives in Austin, Texas with the love of her life, David and their energetic 7-year old Noah. She was raised a small-town girl so the old-fashioned values of family, faith, and home play a huge part in her love of decorating, cooking, entertaining, and preserving memories through scrapbooking.

Jennifer began scrapbooking in 1998 and soon discovered that not only is it a way to capture memories, but also a wonderful means of expressing herself creatively through color, patterns, and texture. Wanting to use her favorite patterned papers for more than just albums, she slowly began integrating her scrapbook supplies and art into their home décor and loved how it personalized their space. She finds the most inspiration in flea markets and antique stores, children's clothing, and even gourmet food stores. Jennifer always keeps a notebook in her purse to jot down ideas. She says you never know when you'll be inspired by a design, a scent, or a color pattern! (her camera phone comes in handy, too!)

With a teaching degree from the University of Texas, Jennifer's decision to teach local scrapbooking classes was an easy one. She later began teaching home décor project classes both locally and on the road. Her work has been published in Memory Makers, Creating Keepsakes, BHG Scrapbooks, Etc. and Scrapbook Trends magazines and Memory Makers Books. She has also worked as a project designer for several scrapbooking companies. Jennifer loves inspiring others to create something beautiful, personal and lasting for their own homes. What else makes her happy? TIVO, vintage ribbon, chocolate, 80's music, Christmas, and a house full of extended family.
