inside the studio ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This month has been filled with ?Things To Do?.I have just finished the July/August ?Make the Most? pages and a fun travel journal for my new column for Simple Scrapbooks. I have also created three new classes that will be added into the rotation of workshops I will be teaching for 2007. I structured these classes totally different, they force a bit more individuality and artistic creativity; I am really excited to teach them. my new workshop webpage is now up and running, it now lists all the stores/events I will be visiting, as well as downloadable supplies lists that can be printed out for each one of the workshops. Other than the new French doors (dream, totally dream, I have wanted French doors for years), I have a new little addition to my room. I found it at my favorite local consignment shop right down the street from my house for only $19 It was already black and all I needed to do was change the knobs. It is the new home for my newest collection addiction, fabrics. Yes those squares of color are all folded fabrics - YUMMMMM! I am filling up a notebook of project ideas as you read this.

Lately I have been inspired by possibility. The
possibilities of using the product I already have in
different artistic and creative ways. However; I
probably should put out there, I am an avid
collector of craft items not solely scrapbooking
related. Sometimes I don?t even know why I buy
certain things other than I know they have creative
purpose and I am curious how it will find it?s way
into my craft.
I have been all over the map. Some of my favorite
pieces of inspiration are found blog hopping. Here
are a list of some of my favorite fun blogs that
feed my curiosity to create:

Have you ever heard the saying, ?You are what you
eat?? Well, this month you are, HA!
See if you can challenge yourself to get creative
with the disposable parts of the consumable goods we
indulge in everyday. This month?s trash to treasure
challenge is labels and packaging. Go ahead and have
that glass of wine or cold beer, grab another pickle
out of the pickle jar, cut off that box top, open
that can of soup, unwrap that snack, but before you
recycle the bottle/can or throw away that packaging
check it to see if you can find any creative
possibilities hidden beyond the packaging?s
marketing potential.
Collect a variety of labels and sort them in colors, designs, sizes, and shapes. Set them out on your workspace and see if they start to penetrate your creative subconscious. QVC is always an exciting place to be! There is
constant movement and the pace is purely addictive
(even at 2am). This month?s craft day will be
February 6th. I will be airing products during the 1
& 2 AM EST show, as well as selling my first ever
donna downey album kit item #F00941, on air
during the 2PM
EST show. I am so excited for its official debut. I
thought I will give you a sneak peek! Hope to ?see?
