, and sadly for the cigar world, Mr. Paley discontinued the brand in 1926 to pursue those other business interests.
Nearly 100 years later there is a new La Palina which is a "house brand" in the truest sense of the word: this new blend was created exclusively for Bill Paley to give to guests at his family's retreat in the Bahamas. So many people loved the cigars and insisted that he bring them to market that he finally decided to do just that and in 2010 relaunched the brand worldwide. The cigars in their new iteration have seen remarkable success in less than one year on the market, both nationwide and especially here at Cordova Cigars.
We invite you to join us the evening of April 7th to meet Bill Paley, who will speak about the cigars, old and new, as well as the history of the brand and his family. Also in attendance will be Courtney Smith, Mr. Paley's wonderful and extremely knowledgeable National Sales Manager, as well as Alfredo Cruz, regional sales manager.
Please come enjoy their company, along with a fantastic La Palina cigar on us, and some very special catering just for this event.
Tickets are $25 per person and are available now at Cordova Cigars, and will also be available at the door the night of the event. The entire store and all lounge areas will be closing at 5:00pm on April 7th for this event and a ticket for the La Palina event will be required for entry or to stay. Thank you for your support and understanding.
