Coming Soon...Huck Finn ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Huck's a terrific liar. A cunning thief. A born rebel.
And no one, but no one, can turn a raft and a river
into an adventure with a capital "A" like Huck. Push
off with him and his fugitive friend, Jim, a runaway
slave, as they confront scoundrels, feuding families,
money-making schemers, lumbering steamboats - and
the daunting Mississippi itself. Along the way, Huck
wrestles with plenty, including his conscience. But in
the end, his compassion and decency make him a
force to be reckoned with.
Huck Finn was adapted for the stage by the award-winning playwright Greg Banks. Originally from the UK, Greg Banks' work as an actor, writer and director has taken him all over the world from Singapore to Seattle via the Arctic Circle. *Available Mid-March 2007* |

Music Now Available for Peter and the Wolf ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In 1936, Prokofiev wrote Peter and the Wolf
as a way to introduce orchestral instruments to
children. Now available to the PYA catalog is Hummie
Mann's bouncy blend of music inspired by the
Prokofiev score for Peter and
the Wolf ; both in
written and recorded format.

New Features on the PYA Website ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Two new pages have been added to the Plays for
Young Audiences website; 'Links' and 'Featured
Composers'.
By popular demand, we have included 'Featured Composers' with a listing of the artists who have written music for PYA musicals and plays. The composer's pages include bio information and photos. So many wonderful theaters, schools and community centers have produced PYA plays. The 'Links' page provides an excerpt listing of PYA customers and their websites. 'Links' also lists theatrical resources such as CostumeRentals and magic effects. If you would like your information to be included on the PYA website, let us know!
