Meie oma Los Angelese eestlaste kaastöös on ilmunud kaks raamatut: Diana Saare Tan "Regina. Mu imeline võitlejanna" ja Kiino Villandi fotodega kaunistatud Riku Campo raamat "Best in Beauty". Priit Jürjens, better known in America as Brad Jurjens, well known Estonian film maker in Los Angeles, whose feature length action film, "Hired Gun", a year after its release is still creating waves in the film world. The film was also screened at the Toronto Film Festival, which is considered, after the Cannes Film Festival, one of the world's premier film festival venues.Priit introduces himself on My Space as follows: My name is Brad Jurjens. I am from Estonia which really is a country. Seriously. It's the size of a Wal-Mart. But it's bigger than Monaco or Luxemburg or Montenegro or the great state of Maine. The day when the gas pipe exploded in San Bruno, two similar explosions occurred in Ossetia (Dagestan, Caucasus Mountains) and Iran. According to Yahoo, news about all three explosions was that they were about the same strength and had similar numbers of casualties. What did it say to an astrologer? Aren't they tempted to say that we depend on the star positions in the heavens, because every astrologer can see that the god of explosions, the planet Uranus, was standing on the last and terrible degree of Pisces, famous for explosions all over the world?  Reedel, 1. oktoobril, 2010Laemmle Sunset 5, Los Angeles"Püha Tõnu kiusamine" on tragöödia ühe keskastmejuhi südametunnistuse piinadest ja hulluks minemisest. Tõnu (Taavi Eelmaa), nooremasse keskikka ja jõukamasse tuludetsiili jõudnud mees, hakkab tegelema moraaliküsimusega. Kahjuks ei ole sootsium eetilisteks otsinguteks sobilik ja Tõnu kaotab oma närvid ning materiaalse heaolu. Filmi stsenarist ja rezhisöör Veikko Õunpuu on 16. märtsil 1972 Saaremaal sündinud eesti filmimees, keda on rahvusvaheliselt tunnustatud filmide "Sügisball", 2007 ja "Püha Tõnu kiusamine", 2009 eest. Mati Unt'i samanimelise novelli alusel vändatud film "Sügisball" pärjati Veneetsia Filmifestivalil Horizon Award'ga. |  Regina Tan (19.09.1999 - 20.09 2009) oli eesti-hiina päritolu tüdruk, kes oma ainsad 10 eluaastat elas Ameerika Ühendriikides. Nelja-aastasena haigestus ta ajuvähki ning pidas kuus aastat ränka ja vaprat võitlust haigusega, mis kord taandus, siis jälle uuesti ründas, elas üle neli ajuoperatsiooni ja kuude kaupa kurnavat keemiaravi. Viimaks tuli Reginal ja ta perekonnal haigusele alla vanduda: Regina suri päev pärast oma kümnendat sünnipäeva. See raamat on Regina eestlannast ema Diana Tan'i avameelne, traagiline ja tundeline jutustus sellest, mida tähendab elu vähihaige lapse kõrval.
