Lõpuks ometi on ka Kaliforniasse saabunud kauaoodatud kevad! Mai on Eesti Maja kalendri kõige kiirem kuu. Üritusi jagub nii Eesti Maja seinte vahele kui ka välja. Eesti Kool lõpetas oma kooliaasta traditsioonilise Emadepäeva kontserdiga ning leerilapsed õnnistatakse jumalateenistusel Los Angelese kirikus. Oma viie aasta tegevusest teeb kokkuvõtte Eesti Köök ning kutsub meid kõiki taas maistvale lõunasöögile septembrikuu kolmandal laupäeval. Väärikasse ikka jõuab meie Los Angelese Eesti Segakoor. Juubelipidustused langevad küll juuni kuusse, kuid koori ajaloost võib lugeda juba sellest uudiskirjast.
Tore on tõdeda, et meie ridadesse on liitunud mitmeid vabatahtlikke, kes oma mõtteid kirjasõnas rõõmuga jagavad. Lisandunud on ka mitmeid fotograafe, kelle fotosilma läbi on võimalus kõigil Eesti Maja tegevusest osa saada. Käesolevas uudiskirjas on lausa neli uut fotoalbumit!

Finally, the long-awaited Southern California spring has sprung!  May is the most eventful month of the year for the Estonian House with things happening within and without those hallowed halls and walls.  The Estonian Continuation School ended its school year with the traditional Mother's Day concert and soon our church will be filled with the pomp and circumstance of a confirmation service for the confirmees.  The Estonian Kitchen will present a summation of its five-year activities and will invite us all to a tasty luncheon on the third Saturday this coming September.  Our Los Angeles Estonian Mixed Chorus has reached a well-earned and well-deserved milestone.  Though you'll have to wait 'till June for the official festivities, an historical discourse can be found elsewhere in this newsletter.  It's with joy that we confirm that several volunteers have joined us in happily presenting their written thoughts.  Additionally, you'll be able to participate vicariously in all Estonian House activities through the artistic photographic eyes of several photographers whose works appear herein.  As a matter of fact, there are actually four new photo albums to peruse.
