Greetings!

What an amazing start to the 2012 bridal show season we have had! The year started off with a bang as we introduced our newest event, the Las Colinas Bridal Show on January 8, 2012 at the new Irving Convention Center. Shortly after, we celebrated our largest show of the year, the Dallas Bridal Show on January 28-29 at the Dallas Market Hall, again a HUGE success! Read the articles below for a review of each of these two shows.

Our Spring bridal show season will be rounded out with the Fort Worth Bridal Show this weekend, March 4th at the Fort Worth Convention Center, and the Plano Bridal Show on March 11th at the Plano Center. A few spaces are still available in the Plano show, but are going quickly!

Don't forget that your success from any bridal show depends on what you do after the show is over! Follow up is the key to getting the most out of your bridal show experience. We are always happy to offer suggestions for following up with your bridal show leads, so call us if you need assistance in this area.

As always, our goal is to help you build your business!

Las Colinas Bridal Show:Review

Our first ever Las Colinas Bridal Show, on January 8th at the new Irving Convention Center, was a great success! In fact it was the best "start-up" show we have ever had! With 627 registered brides in attendance out of over 1,900 total attendance, the show gave exhibitors an opportunity to promote their services face to face.

At every show exhibitors have the opportunity to pass out discount coupons to brides prior to the show. The companies that bring in the most coupons receive discounts on the next bridal show!

New Product to Debut at
Fort Worth Bridal Show

TULSA, OK - A new bridal product is making its Texas debut at the Fort Worth bridal show Sunday. The Bellabito Gown Guardian is a patent-pending product designed to keep that beautiful wedding dress clean for the walk down the aisle.

Products are becoming more readily available to make the big day a little less stressful on the bride.

One such product is the Bellabito Gown Guardia
n. The Bellabito Gown
Guardian is worn under the dress, as one would wear a slip, and pulled out and over the dress and train when the bride is ready to move from location to location, creating the perfect "pouch" for the bridal dress and train to safely lie. Once the bride is ready for photos, just release the Bellabito Gown Guardian and it retracts underneath the dress and out of sight.

The Bellabito Gown Guardian will be featured on Sunday March 4, 2012 at the Fort Worth bridal show, hosted by Bridal Shows, Inc. The Show will be held at Fort Worth Convention Center and will run from noon to 5 pm. Admission is $8 for adults and $4 for children 14 and under.

Let the Bottle Pop the Question

Dallas, Texas - February 27, 2012 Most men have a general idea of how to propose: buy a ring, get down on one knee and ask her to marry you. But in Lance Buckley's case, he wanted to come up with a unique way to propose to his now fianc Rachel Morse, and center it around something that both of them have in common - wine.

So just last month, Lance let the bottle pop the question by using a custom wine bottle from Two Corks and a Bottle, a winery/wine bar in Uptown.  The bottle had a label with the picture of the ring on it, and as shown below said "Will you marry me?"

"I asked around and heard all these extravagant stories how people had proposed" said Lance. "But I wanted to do something that was personal and would be sentimental to us. Since we almost always have a glass of wine, I thought proposing with the wine bottle would be the way to go." The story has a happy ending as she said yes, but by no means was the planning for this proposal easy. After finding the woman of his dreams almost a 1 year ago, Lance knew it was "time to snatch her up before anyone got her."

Now that he had the ring and way to propose, he had to come up with the when, and where. Since he'd been planning to propose for a couple of months and knew that in early January they had a trip to Tyler, Texas where both families were going to be together, he thought that was the perfect time. Rachel's parents would be there also, so it's a good thing two weeks before the actual proposal, Lance did the traditional thing of going to visit Rachel's father to ask for her hand in marriage.

On that weekend just a month ago, with both their parents present, Lance places the bottle in a bag on the window sill. Lance's Mom suggests that they have a glass of wine before going out. Rachel reaches for the wine they brought and takes the bottle out of the familiar Two Corks and a Bottle bag.  She reads the label. Surprised she says "Are you serious?"

Frequent visitors to Two Corks and a Bottle, Lance and Rachel enjoy meeting at the winery/wine bar to  try the new wines of the month or participate in the daily wine tasting. They are also Two Corks and a Bottle wine club member's, which allows them the opportunity to enjoy new wines each month for a fraction of the cost of most imports.

Just coming off of participating at the Dallas Bridal Show, Two Corks and a Bottle has seen many couples plan bottling parties to make their own wine to serve at their wedding. You can choose from a list of available varietals or blends, and once it's ready they show you how to bottle, cork and label it. You even get to put that cute little foil cover on the top!

Although Lance and Rachel's wedding is planned for October of this year, they are planning a bottling party for early May/June t

o make wine for their wedding, and plan on saving a couple of bottles for their first anniversary. Now that's what I call letting the bottle make all your memories and

do all the work!

A Letter of Thanks

February 21, 2012

Dear Naomi;

My name is Jeff Christenson of Jay Fox Productions. I have been a Wedding DJ for over 30 years now and am very passionate about making sure that the evening goes perfectly. Never in over 30 years have I advertised, always got my business by word of mouth. Until this year when I finally decided to take part in the Dallas Bridal Show.

Upon leaving the show I had booked 2 wedding receptions during the show. Then in the following TWO WEEKS, I booked 17 weddings total.

How can I thank you for the remarkable opportunity you provide? At one point I had 4 brides waiting in line to talk with me at the show. How could I have EVER expected that kind of reaction?

My thanks to Naomi, Maureen and Ruthie for all your encouragement and support. As soon as I can, I will be signing up for another Bridal Show with you.

Blessings

Jeff Christenson
