Naomi's Notes: "What is 'Normal' Anyway?"
    by: Naomi Hulme, CEM

So many things have changed over the course of time and will continue to do so. One person's perception of "normal" may be totally different than another person's view. Because we are all different and think differently, it could appear that everyone else is "not normal." Keep in mind that as time goes by, we all change as other things change around us. So, if we are "normal," then later change to "not normal" because we are now different than we were, do we become our own "new normal?"

It's interesting to think about, isn't it?

If we are creative and think outside of the box, we will constantly be improving our "normal" self and becoming a "new normal" every year.

As stated in the book The New Normal-Great Opportunities in a Time of Great Risk by Roger McNamee with David Diamond, "Being more valuable as an individual is what the New Normal is all about. You want to increase your value---and there's no better time to start. You've got the tools at your fingertips. The world is shifting in your favor. And if we've learned anything from recent history, it's this: nobody's going to take care of you other than yourself."

Create a better normal for a better you.

    Selling in the New Economy

Traditional selling techniques often place sales professionals in the awkward position of responding to the prospect's initiatives, rather than confidently managing the sales process. You can not only survive, but thrive in this new economy. We will show you how!
