Bishop Mike's E-pistle
Dear Grace Friends,
Every church family has it's unsung heroes, ones who quietly do their work behind the scenes and out of the view of most church-goers.

Every Sunday morning Carissa Durham takes care of the children in the Toddler Room . She lovingly watches over the kids, dries their tears when they fall and teaches them to share and get along.

If you get a chance, stop by the Toddler Room and give Carissa a word of thanks. She does an important job in the church, she gives care and guidance to our little ones. That's an important job!

CHRISTIAN BELIEVER STUDY

Christian Believer

A new study will be starting on Thurs., August 28 at 7:00 pm and will run for 30 weeks. This study uses the Bible and the writings of early and modern church leaders to come to a faithful understanding of Christianity. The goal of CHRISTIAN BELIEVER is to make available to people the substance of the Christian faith that the church has confessed as a way of connecting to God and living faithfully. Disciple I is a pre-requisite of this study. Please call the church office to sign up or for more information.
AROUND THE BIBLE IN 90 DAYS

WANT TO READ THE BIBLE FROM COVER TO COVER?
If you can read just about 12 pages a day, you can read the Bible in only 90 days.  We will begin Thursday, August 21 and you will have the Bible read before Thanksgiving.   Just read 12 pages a day and gather weekly for study of what you covered the past week. Join Pastor Steve and Pastor Chris for this weekly adventure as we start The Bible in 90 Days.  Contact Pastor Steve, Pastor Chris or the Church office to sign up or for more information.

GRACE NOTES FOR AUGUST

Grace Notes

Our print newsletter is now out and available online

You will need your free Adobe Reader to view and print a pdf file.

Some readers of the online Grace Notes are puzzled.

We publish the print version.  This week there are eight pages ordered for printing.  However, when viewed on line we view pages 8 and 1, then 2 and 7, then 6 and 3, then 4 and 5.

You needn't crick your neck trying to read sideways.  Adobe Reader permits you to right-click and select "Rotate Clockwise" to read Grace Notes online and comfortably.

If you want to view the current issue of Grace Notes, you can find it on our web page www.kokomograce.org under Outreach / Communications / Grace Notes.  If you want to email a link to a friend use http://kokomograce.org/archived_grace_notes/gn_current.pdf.  We hope to have archived older versions of Grace Notes viewable soon.
