Dear Friends,
KEEP YOUR EYES ON JESUS...
The seeds of evangelism first take root and sprout in the home.
Join the Evangelism Committee as they kick off a 6 week series on Faith In The Home this fall.
It's another GRACE NITE OUT series. It reflects on the...
- Home is a Spiritual Filling Station: speaker to be announced (tba).
- Home is a Place of Covenantal Love: speaker tba.
- Home is a Seminary: Karen Zimmerman.
- Home is a Haven: Pat Hayes
- Home is a Place of Healing: Kurt Kingseed.
- Home is a Place Where Parenting Never Ends: speaker tba.
As you sow... so shall you reap. The evening starts at 6:30 P.M. Sunday with snacks and fellowship.
It's followed by a few praise songs and the speaker. Each table reflects on and discusses the main points.
Teams of 2 preselected leaders guide discussion. They get 10 questions for review along with scripture references before each presentation.
The leaders may ask others to join their table or you may call the office, 457-5329, and sign up for the series. You'll be called by one of the table leaders.
Join us as we center our eyes on Christ... as we strive to walk in his footsteps.
The group meets on September 28th, October 5th-12th-26th, and November 2nd-9th.
Programs end at 8:00 sharp.
Can't make every presentation? That's OK... neither can I. Come for those you can.
Have children... bring them along for a complementary program.
See you there. |

| SETTING THE EXAMPLE. |
|
"Walking The Talk"
There are little eyes upon you,
And they're watching night and day;
There are little ears that quickly
Take in every word you say;
There are little hands all eager
To do anything you do;
And little fellows who are dreaming
Of the day they'll be like you.
You are the little fellows' idol.
You're the wisest of the wise.
In their little minds about you,
No suspicions ever rise.
They believe in you devoutly;
Hope that all you say and do,
They will say and do in their own way
When they're grown up like you.
And their ears are always open,
And they watch you day and night;
You are setting an example
Every day in all you do,
For the little fellows watching
To grow up and be like you (Author Unknown)
Let's teach them to keep their eyes on Jesus too.

What If Your "Child" Ran Out Of Food Each Month.
Many children rely on services like reduced price or free school lunches.
Some find the weekends hard. As the month progresses, they get less and less food.
What if you, your group, or your Sunday School Class could provide
a child friendly, non-perishable, vitamin fortified bag of food.
What if $10 could supply a 5-7 pound Buddy Bag of food... enough food
for 1 child for a month... or if $90 put food in that child's
mouth for a year?
Kokomo Urban Outreach plans to launch such a program by
mid-September. Most of the food will come from Food Finders food
bank in Lafayette.
And if "kids" want to help... Jeff needs volunteers weekly to pack the bags.
Won't you help fill a hungry child?
Call 457-1983 or Jeff Newton at 461-6918 NOW. |

Senior High Institute is just around the corner and they still need help. Check the sign up at the welcome center.
