FOOD FOR THOUGHT
|
Dear Friends, You all know that Methodists are terrific cooks. As a child the first time that I set foot inside the door of a Methodist Church I was offered a piece of pumpkin pie. Feeling a little out of place, I politely refused. My loss. At Grace Church we're also offered a wide variety of spiritual sustenance. Have you ever stopped to count the number of Sunday School classes or Bible Studies? Grace offers Men's Bible Studies, Women's Bible Studies, Beth Moore Studies, Disciple Bible Studies, Grace Night Out plus 7 Adult Sunday School classes. There is no need to wonder about the who, what, when, where or how of what it means to be a Christian. Do you feel the need to feed your intellectual curiosity with regard to Christianity? Explore the depths of your faith at Grace Church in a loving, nurturing environment with knowledgable leaders. You'll be well fed! Beth Moore Bible Study

RELAY FOR LIFE
|
The American Cancer Society's signature
event began in 1985. Dr. Gregory Klatt of Tacoma, Washington decided
to run for 24 hours at his local high school.
The idea... to show that cancer never sleeps. He raised $27,000 that year.
Today over 4,000 communities run their own relay. They've raised over $1 billion to fight cancer.
Kokomo's relay begins at 5:45 P.M. at the Kokomo High School track on Friday, June 20th. The goal this year... $290,000.
111 teams registered. That's over a 30%
increase compared with 2007. They ask each team to keep someone on the
track at all times.
If you're not a "walker" you can
participate by helping UM men serve a pancake and sausage breakfast.
Plan on being there at 5:30 A.M. until about 10:00 A.M. on Saturday
morning, June 21st.
All money from the free will offering goes to the American Cancer Society.
The men NEED your help. They're short staffed.
Call Dick Emry now at 453-5122 to get on board.
See you there.
