| GRACE MEN HELP BUILD "BASIC UTILITY VEHICLE" |
Several men from Grace Church will be spending Saturday June 7 constructing a "Basic Utility Vehicle" at the Institute for Affordable Transportation facility in Indianapolis. Such vehicles, can have multiple uses in the mission field. They are constructed from the scrap rear axle and differential of a small pickup, which is joined to front wheel, steering, and a gas or diesel engine. They can be used to haul construction material, taxi people, or haul goods to market. Plans call for providing these vehicles for the mission field, and starting mini-factories for BUV manufacture on the mission field.
Men scheduled to go June 7 are: Dave Brownfield, Ralph Cory, Kirk Grotenhuis, and Chris Hedges.

| JIM WILLIAMS HONORED AT ANNUAL CONFERENCE |
|
At Our Annual Conference of the North Indiana United Methodist Church, an All Conference Dinner will be held on Friday, May 30th at 5:45pm in the North and South Ballrooms of the Purdue University Union Building. This is our annual Conference Dinner hosted by the Lay Leader of the Conference. During this dinner, the Annual Conference periodically recognizes lay members of our churches who have modeled servanthood in such an exemplary way that they merit special recognition. We call the award the "Bread and Basin Award". We are proud to announce that our own Jim Williams has been selected to receive the award at Annual Conference this year for his many years of service to our Lord, his church and his community. We congratulate Jim and are grateful to have him as an important part of our church family.

UMCOR RESPONDS TO DISASTERS
|
As we today are seeing the news filled with images of a Cyclone in
Myanmar an Earthquake in China and Spring storms in the US....
We need to
remember that our United Methodist Church is already there, and ready to assist,
provided by our own giving to UMCOR, the United Methodist Committee on
Relief.
100% of our giving goes directly for the relief, not one penny for
administration or fund-raising expenses. Your relief is delivered in your
name through the local communities and churches on the
scene.
