Bishop Mike's E-pistle

Dear Friends,
This week I watched a documentary titled "The Power of Forgiveness". It featured the story of a woman who lost her firefighter son in NYC on 9/11. Prior to his death they had become estranged due to a conflict in their lives. On 9/11 their opportunity to reconcile was lost forever.

Does the often quoted "to err is human, to forgive divine" come from the Bible? No, it actually comes from the English poet Alexander Pope, but many look at it as a Biblical principle. In his last hour on the cross Jesus uttered the words, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do". Could anything be more divine? As Christ died He lifted our burden of sin. He gave us the blessing of forgiveness. Don't wait to pass it forward!
