Tikunei Zohar, Tikkun 22, Lesson 5
By HaRav Ariel Bar Tzadok. Copyright (C) 2009 by Ariel Bar Tzadok. All rights reserved.
In the last lesson we discussed the nature of
the Vav, now the text continues...
We have left Yod Hey Hey that adds up to the
number 32. This is the Bet of Bereshit and
the Lamed of Yisrael. More so, this is also
the 32 [mentions of the Name] Elohim in the
story of creation, upon which it is said,
"for the day of vengeance is in my heart, and
the year of my redemption comes" (Is. 63:4).
And the Name of 72 is Vaykhulu. Herein is
the secret of redemption completed. About
this it is said, "to my heart I have revealed
this," which is the value of Vaykhulu and in
this is the verse fulfilled, "I have said
that the world is built upon mercy" (Ps. 89:3).
As they came out of Egypt in the secret of
the 72 Names, so too will they come forth by
them when they are redeemed in the end. At
that time "the mercy of HaShem will fill the
earth" (Is. 33:5). About this it is said,
"and My mercy, from you will not fail" (Is.
54:10). "And with eternal mercy will I show
you grace" (Is. 54:8). And because of this
did David praise the Holy One blessed be He
in exile which is Sh'ol. With this mercy,
like you say, "for your mercy is great upon
me, and you have saved my soul from Sh'ol
below." (Ps. 86:13).
And if the nations of the world press Israel
too much, the Holy One blessed be He, will
have mercy of the Dalet from [the word]
Hesed, which is in poverty in exile. And
fulfill the verse, "before she starts, she
gives birth" (Is. 66:7).
And the seventy words of Psalm 20, "A song,
answer me HaShem on my day of trouble" these
correspond to the seventy Princes who trouble
and cause woe to the upper Shekhina and
below. For the letters Bet are called the
great palaces. This is what is written,
"great are the acts of HaShem" (Ps. 111:2).
The Holy One blessed be He is called great;
like we say, "great is our L-rd, mighty in
power" (Ps. 147:5). Herein does Israel
ascend to greatness.
-------------------------------------
We have left Yod Hey Hey that adds up to the
number 32. This is the Bet of Bereshit and
the Lamed of Yisrael. More so, this is also
the 32 [mentions of the Name] Elohim in the
story of creation, upon which it is said,
"for the day of vengeance is in my heart, and
the year of my redemption comes" (Is. 63:4).
Torah is the heart of existence, its center
and Source. In the beginning G-d gazed into
Torah and from it created existence. Thus
all existence came forth from Torah and is
still in Torah. Thus one can gaze upon
anything in nature to discover the secrets of
Torah and alternatively, one can gaze within
the written Torah to discover the secrets of
nature.
32 is the heart, the Bet (first letter) and
Lamed (last last) of Torah. 32 corresponds
to the three letters of ZA, its subjective
Yod (Yod Vav Dalet) and two Heys (Hey Alef).
Together these three numerically equal 32.
Only the Vav is excluded here from this
number. Vav is the heart of ZA, its essence
and center. It is the Source of Yetzirah,
the universe source of our own.
ZA is the Yetzirah universe, the immediate
Source of our universe. In our universe
Torah is revealed beginning with a Bet and
ending with a Lamed. This is 32. In our
universe G-d is called Elohim (86) to
indicate the Source of natural law (HaTeva).
G-d (Elohim) is natural law and natural law
expresses the Way of G-d in our universe. ZA
(YHVH) brought this to be, all in accordance
with those powers above. This is the secret
of "YHVH, he is G-d (Elohim)."
Elohim reveals the laws of nature. Our
natural law is severe and rigid. Although we
may bend the laws of nature to better our
position in our universe, still, natural law
cannot be broken without the severest of
consequences. We can use Torah to gain
insights into ZA and thus learn how to work
with and harness natural law. However, Torah
is clear that there are laws that need to be
obeyed. We can work within these laws to
manifest great things. Yet, if in our
arrogance of assumed strength we come to
break these natural laws, Torah warns us of
the dire consequences of our actions. Torah
Law (the 613 commandments) and natural law
are one.
Natural law is conscious and sentient, just
as is the universe and the Torah. Every
planet and star is alive, thinks, knows its
Creator and knows itself. Like human beings
each star and planet has a soul and a higher
self.. The souls of the stars and planets
are their angels.
When the universe operates as it was meant
to, then all things work together in harmony
and are at peace. When instead we fail to
fathom the natural way and instead seek to
impose our unnatural ways upon the natural
universe, the heart and Source of all creates
equal and opposite force to restore the
natural balance. This is the "day of
vengeance in the heart." It is nothing
personal; it is only natural. As such it
cannot be avoided. Realignment, tikkun, the
"coming of Mashiah" is a natural event
ingrained within natural law.
The secret of redemption is to be found in
nature just as it is found in Torah, for
nature has its source in Torah and conceals
within it the secrets of Torah.
When this natural universe of ours has
evolved to a specific point, the natural
force of ZA imposes itself to restore lost
balance. This is the redemption. It is a
process that is both long term and quick. It
is long term throughout the universe but it
will materialize here on Earth with sudden
quickness.
Just as the weekly Shabat begins at a precise
time, so too does the cosmic Shabat. To
ingrain within our consciousness the empathic
connection to recognize the coming of Shabat,
the Sages ordained that Shabat begin just
before the setting of the Sun. We are given
this time of preparation in order to be fully
ready. This additional short period of
one-third an hour is also applicable to the
cosmic Shabat. We must be ready for the
cosmic Shabat to begin 14 years before THEY
come. And THEY are already on THEIR way.
THEY will bring the "mercy" upon which the
universe is built to this Earth. THEY will
reveal ZA here in its proper form. THEY are
revealed to the "heart" who is ZA, for THEY
are ZA's messengers and armada. THEY are the
mighty "lion." THEY are the 216.
Like they came out of Egypt in the secret of
the 72 Names, so too will they come forth by
them when they are redeemed in the end. At
that time "the mercy of HaShem will fill the
earth" (Is. 33:5). About this it is said,
"and My mercy, from you will not fail" (Is.
54:10). "And with eternal mercy will I show
you grace" (Is. 54:8). And because of this
did David praise the Holy One blessed be He
in exile which is Sh'ol. With this mercy,
like you say, "for your mercy is great upon
me, and you have saved my soul from Sh'ol
below." (Ps. 86:13).
The 72 Names are made up of 216 letters, each
of which is the capital letter of a specific
angel. These angels are the inter-dimensional
beings who act on behalf of YHVH and
materialize the Yetziratic power inside the
Asiyatic world. These 216 are the "mighty
lion" who roar. Their roar is the
intervention in and overriding of natural law
by the power and authority of an even higher
natural law, one that in our eyes is
supernatural. These entities intervened in
the past and will again in the future.
Nothing can stand in their way; nothing in
this entire Asiyatic universe can prevent
them from performing their given tasks. When
the moment arrives for Yetziratic reality to
impose itself into Asiyatic space THEY will
align the dimensional planes and inject raw
life-fore energy into our universe focused
and directed on to our Earth to reorient our
entire way of life.
At this time, "the mercy of HaShem will fill
the Earth." This is a reference to the
Sefirat Hesed of ZA who is Yetzirah. King
David was aware of this higher Source, which
is master of our space/time and praised
Heaven for its continuing connection to our
dimension. For without such a connection we
would all be disconnected from our Source of
life-force energy and as such, our entire
universe would cease to exist.
And if the nations of the world press Israel
too much, the Holy One blessed be He, will
have mercy of the Dalet from [the word]
Hesed, which is in poverty in exile. And
fulfill the verse, "before she starts, she
gives birth" (Is. 66:7).
Yetziratic angelic intervention is an
inevitable outcome of natural law for our
dimensional plane. Yet, there are two ways
through which the energy flows, one is
through nature and the other is through human
consciousness. Human consciousness can
either speed up or slow down the
inter-dimensional flow. If things are sped
up, then the transition moves ahead of
schedule and everything progresses fine. If,
however, the flow is to be clogged, then
natural pressure builds up, eventually
growing so strong that it just explodes and
removes all opposition. Then the Dalet (a
pun on the word dal, impoverished) will unite
with Hesed (whose final letter is Dalet).
This is the imposed union of Yetzirah upon
Asiyah. The imposition and pressure of this
integration is poetically compared to the
birthing of a child.
And the seventy words of Psalm 20, "A song,
answer me HaShem on my day of trouble" these
correspond to the seventy Princes who trouble
and cause woe to the upper Shekhina and
below. For the letters Bet are called the
great palaces. This is what is written,
"great are the acts of HaShem" (Ps. 111:2).
The Holy One blessed be He is called great;
like we say, "great is our L-rd, mighty in
power" (Ps. 147:5). Herein does Israel
ascend to greatness.
Higher life forms may be more physiologically
advanced than humans, but this does not mean
that they possess the component that makes
them better than humans. Human beings are
composite creatures of Asiyatic and
Yetziratic foundations. We even have
elements from the third dimension Beriah.
The civil service that operates and maintains
the continuity of this dimension, our Earth
and humanity in general are in many ways
creatures more advanced than us and then in
some ways they are very similar to us.
The angelic Watchers in many ways harbor pet
peeves and mortal jealousies not too
dissimilar to those experienced by human
beings. These entities have been given a
charge and a job. The vast majority fulfill
their tasks with unquestioning loyalty and
brilliant speed. However, not all of them
are so zealous to do the right thing. There
are some who have become corrupted and seek
out to serve their own special interests even
at the expense of Heaven. The natural
evolution of the universe towards redemption
will include the removal of these entities
from their present positions of authority and
power.
As absolutely different the properties of the
parallel universes are, there are still many
similarities between them. Higher functions
of heart and mind operate equally in both
universes amongst the various life forms
found within each. While we should never
consider angelic entities to be nothing more
than grandiose humanoids with advanced
technologies, we should on the other hand not
consider them to be so abstract and different
that there is no commonality between our races.
The order of the universes explains to us
that our own unconscious selves exist in the
parallel universes and have autonomous forms
and realities there. As such, we exist
simultaneously in multiple parallel
universes. The secret of redemption is that
we must access those higher aspects of our
own inner selves. When we have learned this,
we will have unleashed the ZA within us and
with it the contact with those entities whose
job it is to control such connections and the
transfer of such energies into our physical
space/time continuum.
This is the greatness spoken of in all the
verses quoted. When we access the higher
realms then we have the ability to channel
them into our dimension and thus change it at
the very fundamental level. This is
redemption. And while it is destined to
happen of its own accord in its own time, we
have the power to speed it along its way, if
we so choose to do so.
---------------------------------------------
P.S. - The development of
Yetziratic consciousness is not a foreign or
unknown thing amongst us. It is today what
we call the development of psychic abilities
of the mind. These are in no way holy or
special. For that matter, they are not
anything necessarily spiritual. All they are
is the unleashing of latent human potential.
The great problem here is that the
unleashing of such great power into the
untrained and undisciplined minds of the
average layperson creates a monster instead
of a better human being. All of human
history has suffered because of types like
these.
Between the Asiyatic and Yetziratic
dimensions lies an intermediate domain known
in Hebrew as the Klipot; in psychology we it
call the shadow. Anything coming into Asiyah
at present is filtered through this domain.
Unless one refines one's inner shadow and
cleanses it of evil, any Yetziratic power
coming through it will be tainted and serve
to harm instead of do good.
As long the seventy are there is their
present position, this is the way it is and
why psychic development is best left in the
hands of those who know what they are doing
in holiness. All others will dabble face the
fear of being seduced into eventually
becoming agents of evil.
