Mofet's Debut at AgriVest 2012 and Agritech 2012
Nine months ago, our Mofet Venture Accelerator embarked on an expeditious journey: Repositioning Mofet as the only technological incubator in Israel specializing in agritech and food. On May 14, Mofet formally kicked off its new focus as the co-organizers of the 2012 AgriVest Summit. More than 150 attendees met at Mikveh Israel in Holon to hear presentations by Israel's leading policy makers on agriculture, as well as internationally-renowned experts in the area of investing in agriculture.
From May 15 to May 17, Mofet displayed the incubator's seed-stage agritech companies and met with industry professionals and entrepreneurs. See our photo album from the event and from Mofet's booth at Agritech 2012.
Todd Dollinger to Address AICC, Southeast Region
On June 5, Todd will be in Memphis, Tennessee to address the American-Israel Chamber of Commerce, SE region on the topic of "Growing Life Sciences Companies."

Todd Dollinger Presents at the 2012 International Medical Device Forum in Shanghai
In May, Todd Dollinger traveled to Shanghai, China as a featured speaker at the 2012 International Medical Device Forum. Addressing a crowd of more than 200 people, Todd shared the Trendlines mission and spoke on the topic of "Business Incubation: The Israel Model and Trendlines' Experience."

In January 2012, Sol Chip raised $300,000 from angel investors. As well, the Israel Electric Company has expressed interest in Sol Chip's technology and is considering an investment. Read more in the most recent issue of Mofet's newsletter.
NovoSpeech Raises $100,000; Completes Core Development NovoSpeech announced that a current investor, the Maryland/Israel Trendlines Fund, has committed $100,000 to the company. Stimatix Announces FDA Registration and Device Listing for Its AOS-C2000™
Stimatix GI Ltd., a leading developer of low-profile solutions for colostomy management, announced it has completed FDA registration and device listing for its AOS-C2000™ as part of its commercial distribution plans in the U.S. In parallel, filing of the AOS-C2000™ in the European Union for obtaining the CE mark is expected shortly. The filing activities are to be followed by post marketing surveillance, aiming at product readiness to market in the EU by the end of the year. Stimatix GI is developing the AOS-C1000™ and the AOS-C2000™ as part of its colostomy product line that provides voluntary bowel evacuation and improves the quality of life for people with a stoma.
Virtual Ports Launches EndoGrab in Japan

Virtual Ports' Japanese distributor/partner, Senko, formally launched the EndoGrab during the annual meeting of the Japan Surgery Society (JSS) in May. EndoGrab was featured at the Senko booth and was also introduced in a special evening presentation on Reduced Ports Surgery to over 150 participants, notes Dan Shwarzman, CEO of Virtual Ports. "This launch came after more than a year of thorough preparations on Senko side," says Shwarzman, "and a controlled release to a few leading surgeons in Japan. We have high expectations from the growing laparoscopic market in Japan and have confidence in Senko's ability to maximize its potential."
Achievements from Our Public Companies
- ETView received Health Canada license for the marketing of its VivaSight™ DL, the world's only single-use double-lumen airway tube with an integrated high-resolution camera. Approval for U.S. and European marketing are imminent; the company submitted FDA filing for VivaSight, as well.
- FlowSense signed a cooperation agreement with Philips in December.
ApiFix Announces First Implantation in Humans
ApiFix Ltd., developer of a system to correct Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis (AIS), announced last week that the company accomplished its first successful implantation of its minimally invasive scoliosis correction system in human. ApiFix also was the subject of a recent Israel 21c article, "Scoliosis Solution." As a result of the article, says founder and CEO Uri Arnin, ApiFix receives at least one email a day requesting more information.
