Winemaker's Notes:
Explosive black berry and pomegranate-like flavors with perfectly matched tannins that give the wine a long, lasting aftertaste. A treat to drink now and will age well for 7-10 years.
This majestic Shiraz comes from the spectacular Malakoff estate, low-yielding (less than 1t/acre), high-concentration vineyard site in Central Victoria. Gone is the over-ripe, alcoholic in-your-face style of so many Australian Shiraz wines. In its place is a medium bodied wine wrapped in a silky texture that is a revelation of what Australian Shiraz can be when made by one of the great winemakers of Syrah. This variety has been interpreted by two renowned wine families; Rhône mast Michel Chapoutier, together with wine authority and Napa Valley vintner Anthony Terlato. The soil profile of the Malakoff vineyard is remarkably similar to that of France's northern Rhône Valley and the area's climate is ideal for growing superior quality Shiraz.

This Week's Village Wine Cellar Features! Sale on Riedel Vinum Bordeaux Wine Glasses PLUS 33% off all Reidel glassware & decanters
- This Week's Village Wine Cellar Features! Riedel Vinum Bordeaux Wine Glasses. Cabernet/Merlot (Set of 2). List price: $59.00. our price $38.00. Riedel V
inum Wine Glasses make every drop of wine taste its best. Riedel revolutionized glassware by customizing the shape of wine glasses to a particular type of wine. Each wine glass is fine-tuned to direct the flow of the wine onto parts of the palate that will best express the flavors and aromas of a specific wine varietal. The fine crystal offers superb clarity so you can experience the wine's color and texture. Moreover, all machine made Vinum stems are completely dishwasher safe. Made of over 24% leaded crystal. The Riedel Vinum Cabernet / Merlot / Bordeaux wine glass is ideal for full-bodied, complex red wines that are high in alcohol and tannins. The generous size allows the wine to aerate in the glass and the bouquet to develop fully. The shape of the rim directs the flow of the wine to the front palate to enhance sweetness, thus accentuating the fruit while softening bitter tannins. Recommended for: Bordeaux (red), Brunello di Montalcino, Sangiovese, Cabernet Franc.

For Your Appreciation: Thank You!
Pay one penny for one bottle of Clos LaChance Sauvignon Blanc upon spending over $100.00 on any wine purchase. Normal retail price is $15.00 per bottle. Limit one purchase per family per day.

A blend of 82 percent sauvignon blanc, 15 percent semillon and 3 percent muscat blanc, the wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks except for 16 percent that goes into neutral French oak barrels. This is a stupendously lively and refreshing sauvignon blanc that bursts with a flurry of grapefruit and lime peel, dried thyme and fennel and hints of grass and hay. Flavors lean toward juicy pear infused with tangerine and hay and a touch of leafy fig, all ensconced in an attractive texture that neatly balances crisp acidity with moderate lushness. A trace of grapefruit bitterness makes for a bracing finish. Here's a clean, bright, tasty sauvignon blanc that will make pleasant quaffing this Spring and Summer, either as aperitif or with such dishes as grilled shrimp or ceviche.
Normal retail price is $15.00 per bottle, but you only pay one penny upon spending $100.00 on any wine purchase.
Limit one wine purchase per family per day.
Thank you for your business!

Village Wine Cellar - Where we keep our entire store at a constant 64 degrees From Parker's Wine Buyers Guide No 7 by Robert M. Parker, Jr. is this quote from the introduction, How to Store Wine, page 9:
"If you can somehow get the temperature down to 65 degrees Farenheight or below, you will never have to worry about the condition of your wines."
Here at the Village Wine Cellar we proudly keep we proudly keep our ENTIRE store a constant "64 degrees temperature controlled," 365 days a year, hence Village Wine Cellar. This separates our store from all others as temperature is vital to the keeping wine from being spoiled. Proper storage is crucial to keeping the wine's integrity and quality from being compromised. As you are aware, all too often, someone has purchased a bottle of wine elsewhere only to find that their purchase is ruined due to the store temperature was too warm. This will never happen at Village Wine Cellar. |
