Legendary vintner Agustin Huneeus has partnered with Carlos Pulenta, a third generation vintner of Mendoza's Pulenta family, and winemaker Alvaro Espinoza to produce Cruz Andina Malbec, his first proprietary wine from Argentina. The partnership combines Agustin Huneeus long quest to produce unique wines from special places, along with Carlos Pulenta's vast knowledge with Malbec and his inside vision of the Mendoza appellations. Alvaro collaborates with Cruz Andina in every aspect of the wine, from site selection and canopy mangment in the vineyard to determining the final blend. Cruz Andina is a Malbec based blend that represents the unique character of high altitude and old vines from Mendoza. The wine expresses Malbec's exceptional concentration with a soft, supple texture. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Bonarda are blended for complexity, structure and delicate mouthfeel. The old-vine fruit, Alvaro Espinoza's minimalist approach to winemaking and sensibility for elegant wines were the perfect fit for the style of Malbec we desired to produce.

Pay one penny for one bottle of Clos LaChance Sauvignon Blanc upon spending over $100.00 on any wine purchase. Normal retail price is $15.00 per bottle. Limit one purchase per family per day.

A blend of 82 percent sauvignon blanc, 15 percent semillon and 3 percent muscat blanc, the wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks except for 16 percent that goes into neutral French oak barrels. This is a stupendously lively and refreshing sauvignon blanc that bursts with a flurry of grapefruit and lime peel, dried thyme and fennel and hints of grass and hay. Flavors lean toward juicy pear infused with tangerine and hay and a touch of leafy fig, all ensconced in an attractive texture that neatly balances crisp acidity with moderate lushness. A trace of grapefruit bitterness makes for a bracing finish. Here's a clean, bright, tasty sauvignon blanc that will make pleasant quaffing this Spring and Summer, either as aperitif or with such dishes as grilled shrimp or ceviche.

Normal retail price is $15.00 per bottle, but you only pay one penny upon spending $100.00 on any wine purchase.

Village Wine Cellar - Where we keep our entire store at a constant 64 degrees

From Parker's Wine Buyers Guide No 7 by Robert M. Parker, Jr.  is this quote from the introduction, How to Store Wine, page 9:

"If you can somehow get the temperature down to 65 degrees Farenheight or below, you will never have to worry about the condition of your wines."

Here at the Village Wine Cellar we proudly keep  we proudly keep our ENTIRE store a constant "64 degrees temperature controlled," 365 days a year, hence Village Wine Cellar.

This separates our store from all others as temperature is vital to the keeping wine from being spoiled.  Proper storage is crucial to keeping the wine's integrity and quality from being compromised.  As you are aware,  all too often, someone has purchased a bottle of wine elsewhere only to find that their purchase is ruined due to the store temperature was too warm.  This will never happen at Village Wine Cellar.
