- 2011 Feudi di San Gregorio, Ros' Aura, Campania, Italy; $15.00: The Feudi di San Gregorio Ros'Aura is a delicious rosé wine from Italy's Campania region. - 2011 Chateau de Pourcieux, Rose' Cotes de Provence, 1.5 Litre; $35.00: This wine has a light rose colour with a shade of raspberry. It has beautiful aromas of red berries, gooseberry, citrus and a hint of verbena. The palate is fresh with flavors of raspberry, strawberry and red currant with a touch of minerality.
- 2011 Zilliken, Riesling, Butterfly, QbA, Mosel-Saar-Ruwer; $19.00: It opens with aromas of peaches, Meyer lemon, and white flowers, and on the palate strikes just the right balance of sweetness and zingy acidity. A winner with spicy sausages and charcuterie!
- 2009 Treana, Viognier-Marsanne, Mer Soleil Vineyard, 90 pts., Tanzer; Was $23.00, Now $19.00: This white Rhone blend displays varietal characteristics of Marsanne and Viognier; vibrant floral aromas of citrus blossom and jasmine are followed by elegant flavors of ripe stone fruit, hints of pear, pineapple and honey overtones.
- 2010 Inglenook, Rubicon Estate, Blancaneaux, Napa Valley; $49.00: Blancaneaux is a blend of Roussanne, Marsanne, and Viognier grown entirely on the organically farmed vineyards of Rubicon Estate. - 2010 Marimar Estate, Chardonnay, Acero Don Miguel, RRV, 93 pts., Wine Enthusiast; $20.00: "It's unbelievable that this Chardonnay is unoaked, it's so incredibly rich and creamy. Just packed with layers of tropical fruits, peaches, Asian pears and oatmeal cookies. All that butter and cream must be from the malolactic fermentation and aging on the lees. One of the best unoaked Chardonnays ever."
- 2010 Fess Parker, Chardonnay, Ashley's, Sta. Rita Hills, 92 pts., James Suckling; $30.00: Winemaker's notes: This Chardonnay displays beautifully with its light straw color sharing aromas of pear, white peach, honey, apple and vanilla combining with a touch of oak and baking spices. Flavors of refreshing citrus, lemon cream, pear, green apple and pastry crust complement vanilla and baking spices on the palate.

Apple crispness lingers in the long, graceful finish. Drink now through 2016.
- 2009 GAJA Chardonnay, Gaia & Rey, Langhe, Piedmonte, Italy; $240.00: Bright yellow. Complex, leesy aromas of tropical fruits, butterscotch and roasted notes, with an element of oak char. For Your Appreciation: Thank You!
Pay one penny for one bottle of Clos LaChance Oak Free Chardonnay upon spending over $100.00 on any wine purchase. Normal retail price is $15.00 per bottle. Limit one purchase per family per day.

The grapes for the Glittering-Throated Emerald Chardonnay were sourced from vineyards owned by longtime Monterey County grape grower Scheid Vineyards. Riverview Vineyard (Soledad): Located two miles east of Soledad and adjacent to the Pinnacles, this 215-acre vineyard is nestled on a bench overlooking the Salinas River. It is an ideal Chardonnay growing location-the bench creates excellent air flow and the southwestern exposure maximizes available sunlight, allowing fruit to ripen slowly and evenly. Aromas open with crisp green apples, pears, and bright citrus such as lemon and pineapple. Notes of peach cobbler, honey and a subtle grassiness follow. A strong pallet weight with flavors of fresh citrus and tropical fruits are upheld by a bright acid backbone. This refreshing, unoaked Chardonnay will pair well with fresh grilled fish and vegetal dishes, and can even stand up to spicy, blackened chicken.
Normal retail price is $15.00 per bottle, but you only pay one penny upon spending $100.00 on any wine purchase.
Limit one wine purchase per family per day.

Village Wine Cellar - Where we keep our entire store at a constant 64 degrees From Parker's Wine Buyers Guide No 7 by Robert M. Parker, Jr. is this quote from the introduction, How to Store Wine, page 9:
"If you can somehow get the temperature down to 65 degrees Farenheight or below, you will never have to worry about the condition of your wines."
Here at the Village Wine Cellar we proudly keep we proudly keep our ENTIRE store a constant "64 degrees temperature controlled," 365 days a year, hence Village Wine Cellar. This separates our store from all others as temperature is vital to the keeping wine from being spoiled. Proper storage is crucial to keeping the wine's integrity and quality from being compromised. As you are aware, all too often, someone has purchased a bottle of wine elsewhere only to find that their purchase is ruined due to the store temperature was too warm. This will never happen at Village Wine Cellar. |
