....."A similar situation exists with the Cabernet Sauvignons. They are all 100% Cabernet Sauvignons made in 200-case lots, with the exception of the Monument Ridge, and all are aged 18 months in French oak of which 70% is new. There are just too many similarities between them even though they come from various elevations (ranging from 500 feet to as high as 2,400 feet). All the Cabernets are dense, tannic and full-bodied with impressive levels of richness, minerality and blue and black fruits. My favorites include the Christopher's, Bear Point, Rockfall, and Cougar Ridge. 
Interestingly, the Monument Ridge and Monolith tasted more tannic, closed and difficult to evaluate. These are big, concentrated Cabernet Sauvignons and even though some of the vineyards are separated by as much as five miles, there is an overall similarity that comes from this Alexander Mountain Estate despite the various elevations and expositions. Perhaps 15-25 years of aging will confirm Jess Jackson's belief that they are different. That being said, they are all high quality, promising Cabernets that should still be drinking well in 25-30 years."

- 2009 Greystone Cellars, Merlot, California; $10.00: Color is ruby red with aromas of black cherry and chocolate aromas are layered with vanilla, briars and smoke. The fleshy texture is harmonious with plum and raspberry flavors.
- 2009 Greystone Cellars, Cabernet Sauvignon, California; $10.00: A taut and firm Cab with nice tannic presence, jammy black fruits, and hints of oak and spice.
- 2009 Ridge, Zinfandel, Lytton Springs, Sonoma County, 375 ml., 96 pts., Connoisseur's Guide; $21.00: Ripe black cherry/raspberry nose, with notes of pepper, licorice, chaparral, and tobacco. Rich black fruit on the palate. Full and viscous. Well-coated tannins and a long, layered finish.
- 2009 Cakebread, Cellars, Zinfandel, Red Hills, Lake County; $30.00: explodes with layers of ripe boysenberry, black raspberry, blackberry and plum compote aromas coupled with loamy earth, sweet vanilla and toasted oak scents.
- 2009 Schulz Cellars, Zinfandel, Lampyridae Vineyard, Napa Valley, 90 pts., Wine Enthusiast; $32.00: Marked by substantial fruit, this Zin offers a burst of ripe blackberries, blueberries and black cherries, spiced with cinnamon and cloves, and clothed in smoky, sweetly toasted oak.
- 2009 Vine Hill Ranch, Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley, 96 pts., Parker; $180.00: This vintage reveals an opaque ruby hue with pure aromas of blackberries and cassis intertwined with wild chaparral, fennel and hints of savory herbs. Nuances of black tea, rose petal and orange pekoe mingle with dusty bittersweet cocoa and a wet granite minerality.
- 2008 Alpha Omega, Era, Proprietary Blend, Napa Valley, 94 pts., Wine Spectator; $190.00: The Proprietary Red is a classic Bordeaux-style blend with a high percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon, but also a greater presence of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.
- 2010 Leonetti Cellar, Merlot, Walla Walla Valley; $84.00: Dense, dark, and lush but with amazing focus and levity. Loaded with dark blue and black fruits. Gorgeous high tone aromatics are reminiscent of brambleberry reduction

A beautiful and precise nose of graham cracker, mixed high-tone florals, ripe fruit, and hints of honey. Palate is silky smooth, incredibly dense and plush, loaded with ripe fruit and butressed by fine grained tannin and a very long finish.

The vineyards of Chateau Bonnet were planted during the 16th century, by the Reynier family, wealthy merchants from Libourne. In a mere 30 years, the landscape around the house was transformed, as vines replaced forest on the surrounding slopes. Château Bonnet lies to the North of the Entre-Deux-Mers, on the clay-chalk slopes of the commune of Grézillac, overlooking the Dordogne valley some 10km south of Saint Emilion. The estate dates back to the 17th century; when André Lurton took over in 1956, it comprised 30 hectares of vineyard, which he immediately undertook to renovate and develop.

Normal retail price is $14.00 per bottle, but you only pay 1 penny upon spending $100 on any wine purchase.

This separates our store from all others as temperature is vital to the keeping wine from being spoiled. Proper storage is crucial to keeping the wine's integrity and quality from being compromised. As you are aware, all too often, someone has purchased a bottle of wine elsewhere only to find that their purchase is ruined due to the store temperature was too warm.
