Summer $1.00 Sale!

Buy One Of These Bottles & Get the 2nd Bottle, Same Brand for $1.00

  • 2006 Chasseur, Chardonnay, Sangiacomo, Sonoma Coast, 94 pts., Connoisseur's Guide; Was $62.00, Now $55.00: Apple and pear fruit to start before adding in rich and layered notes of creme brulee, pear nectar, brioche and hints of roasted nuts. The wine is full on the palate and beautifully balanced and echoes its aromatic beginnings with candied and pulpy fruit flavors whose depth and range come with airing. Get the 2nd bottle for $1.00!
  • 2006 Chasseur, Chardonnay, Durell, Sonoma Valley, 92 pts., Connoisseur's Guide; Was $67.00, Now $59.00"There is an extra bit of ripeness here, and it serves both to deepen the wine and also to add a slight bit of weightiness to it. Smells of fresh crushed apples, fully ripened pears and creamy oak jump from the glass, and those same attractions feature in the plump and outgoing flavors as well. At the finish, the wine does bring touches of heat and coarseness into play, but they are small bits of bother in a quite stunning effort." Get the 2nd bottle for $1.00!
  • 2006 Rudd, Chardonnay, Bacigalupi Vineyard, R.R.V., 90 pts., Parker; Was $60.75, Now $50.00: "The bottled 2006 Chardonnay Bacigalupi Vineyard reveals some of the shortcomings this vintage can demonstrate for Russian River Chardonnay. It reveals lovely white currant, citrus oil, and nectarine notes as well as pure, clean fruit that shows no signs of botrytis. Drink it over the next 1-2 years." Get the 2nd bottle for $1.00!
  • 2006 Freestone Vineyards, Chardonnay, Ovation, Sonoma Coast, 94 pts., Wine News; $60.00: This wine has a concentrated core of lemon, fig and cream, with natural acidity and minerality that give it great strength and persistence. This wine was produced by 100% native fermentation with a focus on working the lees in barrel in order to elevate and enhance the mid-palate. The result is a naturally made wine that is unfined, unfiltered and an expression of the region's characteristic minerality and spice. Get the 2nd bottle for $1.00!
  • 2006 Kongsgaard, Chardonnay, Napa Valley, 92 pts., Tanzer; $109.00: Blended from grapes sourced from the Hudson and Hyde vineyards, two low-yielding plots in the cool Napa Carneros. An unusually long barrel ageing period of 22 months imbues the wine with great depth and harmony of flavour. White peach and citrus blossom aromas are accompanied by a honeyed richness and a mineral-like complexity. Will drink well for at least 5 years. Get the 2nd bottle for $1.00!

All sales final. No returns or exchanges. Offer good June 13th - June 19th.
Offer good while supplies last. Prices are subject to change without notice.

Village Wine Cellar - Where we keep our entire store at a constant 64 degrees

From Parker's Wine Buyers Guide No 7 by Robert M. Parker, Jr.  is this quote from the introduction, How to Store Wine, page 9:

"If you can somehow get the temperature down to 65 degrees Farenheight or below, you will never have to worry about the condition of your wines."

Here at the Village Wine Cellar we proudly keep  we proudly keep our ENTIRE store a constant "64 degrees temperature controlled," 365 days a year, hence Village Wine Cellar.

This separates our store from all others as temperature is vital to the keeping wine from being spoiled.  Proper storage is crucial to keeping the wine's integrity and quality from being compromised.  As you are aware,  all too often, someone has purchased a bottle of wine elsewhere only to find that their purchase is ruined due to the store temperature was too warm.  This will never happen at Village Wine Cellar.
