Village Wine Cellar Features!
Rosé for Mother's Day!

  • 2008 Castello Banfi Centine, Rosé, Tuscany; $12.00: A Banfi Rosé. Complex and full bodied. Very aromatic. The fresh, crisp character of this rosé is preserved by the innovative Screw Cap closure.Colour: intense pink. Bouquet: fresh with hints of woodland berries. Taste: dry, with rich berry flavors; well structured, with a long crisp, clean finish
  • 2010 Elk Cove, Pinot Noir Rosé, Willamette Valley; $17.50: The 2010 Elk Cove Vineyards Pinot Noir Rosé is fragrant with white flowers and showing freshness with aromas of watermelon and sweet, red strawberry fruit! Enjoy this crisp, light, simply refreshing wine all by itself on a bright sunny day or pair it with succulent shellfish or roast chicken. Bon appétit!.
  • 2009 Chateau d'Aqueria Tavel Rosé, Provence; $18.00: Bright, vibrant, ripe raspberry flavors brim from this brilliant coral wine, which marries succulent fruit intensity and fresh peppery notes to a zingy core of clean, refreshing acidity and a long, dry finish.
  • 2009 Chateau d'Esclans, Whispering Angel, Rosé Cotes du Provence; $21.00: This wine is a blend of Grenache and Rolle. Very light pink in color, truly vin gris in color. An aromatic nose with herbaceous plants and flowers. Strawberries, lavendar, minerals on the palate with a dry, clean finish. Provence in a bottle - and a text book expression of rosé. Beautiful, elegant and seductive.
  • 2010 Domaine Vacheron, Sancerre Rosé, Loire Valley; $33.50: Organic viticulture has been a goal of the family for a number of years; as of 2003, the entire estate was certified organic. The following year the winery was converted completely to biodynamic agriculture--to be sure, you won't find more terroir-driven Sancerre anywhere else in the appellation.
  • NV Schramsberg, Mirabelle, Brut, Rosé, 93 pts., Wine Spectator; $24.00:  Critics agree that the Schramsberg Mirabelle Brut Rosé NV is among the best values in pink sparkling wine. Although pink bubblies aren't necessarily better than regular sparkling wines, they are rising in popularity, according to sales data. Not only is the Schramsberg Mirabelle Rosé a fetching shade of orangey pink, it's also long on flavor, according to reviews.
  • NV Taittinger, Cuvee, Prestige Rosé, Brut, 93 pts., Wine & Spirits; $60.00 Perfumed fruit emerges from this crisp, layered Champagne. Ideally the Brut Rose Prestige is best enjoyed as an aperitif as the light to medium-bodied frame is likely to be overwhelmed by food. This is truly a lovely effort for such a large property.
  • NV Perrier Jouet, Blason Rosé, 93 pts., Wine Enthusiast; $75.00: The Perrier Jouët Blason Rose NV is a lovely pale copper-tinged salmon pink in colour, with some subtle redcurrant fruit and toffee hints on the nose. This wine has a gentle mineral character with firm acidity and rich yet delicate summer fruit flavours on the palate with a long, lingering finish.

Village Wine Cellar - Where we keep our entire store at a constant 64 degrees

From Parker's Wine Buyers Guide No 7 by Robert M. Parker, Jr.  is this quote from the introduction, How to Store Wine, page 9:

"If you can somehow get the temperature down to 65 degrees Farenheight or below, you will never have to worry about the condition of your wines."

Here at the Village Wine Cellar we proudly keep  we proudly keep our ENTIRE store a constant "64 degrees temperature controlled," 365 days a year, hence Village Wine Cellar.

This separates our store from all others as temperature is vital to the keeping wine from being spoiled.  Proper storage is crucial to keeping the wine's integrity and quality from being compromised.  As you are aware,  all too often, someone has purchased a bottle of wine elsewhere only to find that their purchase is ruined due to the store temperature was too warm.  This will never happen at Village Wine Cellar.
