The show will include educational exhibits, presentations, how-to sessions, and commercial exhibitors.

Exploring The Small Farm Dream 
exploring the small farm dream Is starting an agricultural business right for you? What does it take? How do you decide if this is the path that is right for you? Find out if your dream can become a reality.

This course provides and excellent framework to help alternative farmers assess their skills and interests, learn the realities of farm business ownership, and become connected to local resources. At the end of each session, hear from guest speakers who are "living the dream"!

Gearing Up for the Growing Season

As local food grows, we grow! Flavors of Northwest Iowa is putting on our big overalls to extend our network. 

Thanks to the support from 9 County Extension Councils and the Iowa Lakes RC&D, we are rolling out a summer of fun! Prepare yourself for a 2012 Local Food Roadshow! We're hitting the road with two events every month from May-December.

A new Whole Foods Market in West Des Moines is looking for vendors from Iowa. They have scheduled a vendor fair March 27. Read more about and the fair details in the Des Moines Register article.
Are you looking for garden seeds?
The South Sioux City Optimist are teaming with Seed Savers Exchange and the South Sioux City Public Library to raise money to purchase garden tools for the South Sioux City community garden projects. They will be selling Seeds to Grow heirloom seed packets at the public library. Read more.
