HOT and COLD - the EXTREMES
Two talks, illustrated with stunning slides, about the Arctic and Namibia.
Thursday 7th April 2011, starting at 7.30 at the Clarke Foley Centre, Ilkley
Footloose has always worked closely with Exodus, the UK's leading adventure company, and many of you will have had exciting trips with them. Dan Jackson, their Sales Manager, is joining us for the evening to talk about Polar Trips, illustrated by amazing photos, many by award winning photographer Paul Goldstein.
There will also be a presentation by Footloose director Susanne Muskita who spent several weeks last year travelling around Namibia. She visited all the main areas, including the wildlife of Etosha, the huge dunes of Sossusvlei and the depths of the Fish River Canyon.
We'll also help the evening along by having wine, juice and nibbles, and even a raffle with proceeds to Survival International, a charity which helps threatened tribal peoples.
Over the years we have amassed a large collection of maps and guide books to most of the interesting parts of the world. There will be a sale of these, together with a few new maps and guides.
To help us keep track of numbers, entry is by free ticket. So please let us know if you would like to come and we'll send you some tickets. Don't leave it too late - the hall only holds 80.
We know that many of you live a long way from Ilkley and you won't be able to get there. In fact we are rather proud of how widespread our clientele is - we deal with people all over the world.
