First WEConnect International Forum in Brazil

The First WEConnect International Women's Entrepreneurship Forum in Brazil, took place September 20 at the World Trade Center, S�o Paulo.

    CGI Highlighting Women in Supply Chains

 At the 2012 Clinton Global Initiative Annual Meeting the "Integrating Women into Global Supply Chains" Commitment Workshop featured expert insights from Beth Brooke, Global Vice Chair, Public Policy, Ernst & Young, Global Limited; Leslie Dach, Executive Vice President of Corporate Affairs, Walmart; and Reema Nanavaty, Director, Economic and Rural Development, SEWA.

 

Several participants including Alyse Nelson of Vital Voices and Elizabeth Vazquez of WEConnect International engaged in the discussion organized by Penny Abeywardena, Head of Girls & Women and Associate Director of Commitments at CGI, and lead by Alexander Grashow, CEO, Cambridge Leadership Associates.

Les Femmes Chefs d'Entreprises Mondiales (FCEM), the worldwide umbrella association for women entrepreneurs, signed an MoU with WEConnect International to collaborate in support of women business owners. The agreement was signed in Berlin at the 60th FCEM World Congress hosted by the Verband deutscher Unternehmerinnen (VdU), the German Association of Women Entrepreneurs. Signatories Laura Frati Gucci and Elizabeth A. Vazquez were also speakers at the World Congress, along with Dr. Angela Merkel, Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, and other leaders from around the world.

 India Advisory Board 
 
WEConnect International announces that Mr. Srikant Rao, a senior executive at Accenture, has been unanimously elected as Chair for the WEConnect International - India Advisory Board. Additionally, Ms. Shannu Kaw, Cisco; Mr. Parul Soni, E&Y; Mr. Abhishek Mathur, IBM; and Ms. Ranju Alex, Marriott have been nominated as Co-Chairs representing diversity in industry, geography and gender.
