The first Hot Summer Nights event kicks off on May 11 from 4-11 p.m. and features a free concert by Project Hysteria, a mid-Missouri band playing rock and blues hits from the '70s and '80s. The concert starts at 4 p.m. on Luby's Stage (1359 Bagnell Dam Blvd.) and ends at 6 p.m. DJ Leo Case will continue spinning tunes from 6-11 p.m. and Charcoal Chuck is back to draw free charcoal portraits of all kids 10 and younger. All tickets purchased during each Hot Summer Nights event will be entered into a Grand Prize drawing on Sept.14 for three vacation packages courtesy of Lake Ozark Vacations (PMG), Southwood Shores Resort Condos and Kapilana Resort. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5 and can be bought at any of the events. The winner does not have to be present to win.
