A Blooming Fun Festival...

Families, start making plans to schedule a stay April 19-22 at the Lake of the Ozarks to commemorate the beloved Dogwood Festival's 62nd year in Camdenton. This four-day festival, presented by the Camdenton Area Chamber of Commerce, attracts over 10,000 visitors each year to celebrate the white-blossomed beauty of Missouri's state tree, the Flowering Dogwood. "These Dogwoods will be in full bloom when the annual event takes place and they are a sight to behold," said Trish Creach, executive director of the Camdenton Area Chamber of Commerce. "The 2012 Dogwood Festival has a big-time carnival environment, yet a small-town flavor and feel and is one of Missouri's most popular. It's a great way to reunite with old and new friends in a fun-filled atmosphere and celebrate the kickoff to spring at the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks." Visitors to the Dogwood Festival can enjoy live music, food, a carnival, arts, crafts, beauty pageants, a hog roast, a fish fry, a parade, garage sales, a Shoebox Float Contest for kids, a golf tournament, a 5K Fun Run and much more. For more information about the Dogwood Festival, call the Camdenton Area Chamber of Commerce at 573-346-2227. For a full schedule of events, entry forms or details, visit the festival's website at CamdentonChamber.com/DogwoodFestival.htm.
