FALL IN LOVE WITH FOLIAGE
| Viewing fall foliage in the Lake of the Ozarks is parallel to watching a living, breathing painting. All of autumn's brush strokes are on display - the oranges, yellows and reds - reflecting against the beautiful, shimmering water of the Lake of the Ozarks. A backdrop of spectacular rolling hillsides and bluffs only add to the majesty. Perhaps the best part of soaking up this autumn splendor is that nature is free. Just hop in a car or boat and make your way around the Lake. With all of this beauty in front of your eyes, you'll surely want to take it all in. So stay awhile at a one of the Lake's many resorts, hotels, motels, condominiums, bed and breakfasts, RV Parks or campgrounds. A LURE TO THE LAKE...

Fishing on a boat in the middle of the pristine waters of the Lake of the Ozarks, surrounded by all of nature's handy work, can provide a type of tranquility that money can't buy. Of course, actually landing a few trophy bass with your trusty rod and reel makes the trip that much more enjoyable and peaceful. And according to John Neporadny, accomplished fisherman and author of THE Lake of the Ozarks Fishing Guide, the fall is an outstanding time to hook a haul of fish at the Lake. "The fall colors and cooler weather makes autumn one of the most enjoyable seasons to fish Lake of the Ozarks," said Neporadny. "The fish are in a fall feeding frenzy in preparation for winter. Bass, crappie and white bass are all ganging up on schools of shad then and will readily bite on a variety of baits." For Missouri fishing regulations and fishing reports please visit TakeMeFishing.org or the Missouri Department of Conservation website.
