Yoga Teacher Satsang

Teachers need satsang with each other just as yoga students benefit from coming together with like minded individuals to practice their yoga.  I ask you to come join me in yoga practice and fellowship.

Namaste,
Nicole

Greetings!

When I first began teaching Yoga, it was standard for classes to last 90 minutes.  Often they were longer.  With our faced-paced, busy schedules today it can seem difficult to squeeze in a one-hour yoga class.  However, whenever we are able to spend more time with our practice, we bubble with joy over the benefits we gain from the space and time to go deeper.

Traditionally a Yoga Teacher learned through many years of mentoring and life-long guidance from their teacher.  Again, times have changed. After an initial period of intensive study, most Yoga Teachers set out on their own to attend advanced training and Yoga Teacher continuing education programs from time to time.  They often miss daily or weekly support from peers under the guidance of a Master Teacher.

Of my 27 years of teaching yoga, 17 of those years have included training Yoga Teachers, either as first time Yoga Teachers or in advanced Yoga Teacher training workshops, programs and in private lessons.  Beginning January 6, 2011, I will offer a class and forum addressing the particular needs of Yoga Teachers today - an ongoing Master Yoga class.

The weekly 2 hour Master Yoga class will be divided into three 40 minute sections described below.  This format allows for both the depth of practice from a longer session and the flexibility to attend for 40 or 80 minute segments for regularity of practice.

The focus will always be on you, the Yoga Teacher, and your practice.  However, within the class questions abNicole in lifted Lotusout Yoga Teaching will also be addressed.  It will be a unique opportunity to share and learn from your peers, feel their support and be mentored by an experienced senior instructor.

Experienced yoga students may be granted permission to attend part or all of the class.  Most likely these students would attend either the first or the last 40 minute segment.  They will attend with the knowledge that the focus is on a practice for yoga teachers.

The content and other details of the Master Class are described below.  Please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions - this class is for you!

Joy and Blessings,
Nicole
