Festival Opera is producing a new opera pastiche, based on the exploration of what it means to be judged based on our appearance -- particularly if an individual has a visible affliction or disability. 2013 Season Chorus Auditions
"Fuoco di Gioia!" It's Otello Next Season
From chorus master James Toland: Next summer's production will be the astonishing masterwork of Giuseppe Verdi and Arrigo Boito, Otello. The chorus forces required for this opera are enormous -- both vocally and physically demanding. | | "Fuoco di Gioia" - Verdi: Otello |
The Festival Opera Chorus is seeking qualified singers who want to participate in this tremendous production. In addition to the full production of Otello, the Festival Opera Chorus will sing in the annual Sunday afternoon Opera In The Park, as well as participate in a Sunday afternoon Open Chorus Rehearsal. Auditions will be scheduled in early January 2013, and rehearsals will begin late that same month. For more information, click here.
