Updates are coming in regarding the flooding in Australia. We do know that the Brisbane port is closed and shipments are being rerouted.

South East Queensland is currently suffering from catastrophic flooding.

With a large proportion of this region currently affected or under threat, and with water levels expected to rise over the next few days unfortunately the situation is expected to worsen resulting in severe disruption in this region over the coming days.

Currently all operations at Brisbane ports are suspended until further notice which will affect all vessel and landside operations. Operations at container facilities are either severely disrupted and/or suspended.

Our Brisbane office is temporarily closed.

The thoughts of the entire Hamburg Sud organization are also with all the people, businesses and communities currently affected by these events.
