During this month of July and due to the volume increase of shipments, customs clearance of household goods export and import shipments in the Port of Santos, Brazil is taking longer than usual. Although all shipments of household goods and personal effects are physically checked (except those belonging to foreign Diplomats), there are no scanners and not enough customs officers to deal with the increased volume, resulting in long delays of customs clearance.
