Welcome to the new Jewish Vocational Service (JVS) E-newsletter.In an effort to 'go green' and still be in communication with our friends and partners, JVS is launching our electronic version of JVS Express. 

 

JVS is a busy place and we want to share all of our news and activities with you!  For instance, on Sunday, June 27, JVS will be hosting the "Crossroads of Culture" event to celebrate World Refugee Day.  Please join us in celebrating our diverse community with food, music, and FUN! Remember the good ol' days when a trip to the dime store meant finding affordable treasures for just a pittance?
Those days have returned at the Baltimore Avenue Dime Store, operated by JVS! The Dime Store opened over a year ago providing the nearby downtown area with a perfect place to shop for every day needs. Whether it's a hot cup of coffee, for only a buck, snacks, tissues or batteries, the Dime Store has it on hand. Currently, store hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Read More
Refugees finding jobs
JVS played a critical role in helping more than 50 refugees obtain jobs with Triumph Foods. The St. Joseph, Mo.-based company is a top exporter of premium pork products worldwide.  Triumph representatives came to the offices of JVS to conduct interviews earlier this year.
CARF visits JVS
CARF logoJVS received three-year accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for four of its programs.
