From our beginning in the 1930's, who could have imagined the impact The Mariners' Museum would have not only in the United States but also on the world? The Mariners' Museum, designated by Congress as America's National Maritime Museum, is home to America's largest privately maintained park that is free and open to the public, as well as the largest marine metals conservation project in the world, The USS Monitor. In an effort to increase national access to the Museum's unique maritime art collection, we have partnered with The New York Times store. By using our Interactive Video Conferencing studios, the Education Department brought maritime history and culture to classrooms in 37 states, and as far away as the Dominican Republic, Spain, and Taiwan. Our website has been viewed from more than 132 countries,  including Qatar and Fiji. If you cannot make it to the Museum, we will bring the digital Museum to you! A maritime adventure awaits at your fingertips at www.MarinersMuseum.org.
