EtherCAT® Interface

 

EL-Flow EtherCATBronkhorst USA announces the availability of an EtherCAT® fieldbus interface on their thermal mass flow meters and controllers for gases and liquids, as well as their digital pressure controllers. Bronkhorst is the first and only supplier of these devices to offer this option.

 

EtherCAT® is a highly flexible Ethernet network protocol with unique advantages. It operates at a high speed, with high efficiency and offers simple configuration. No wonder that EtherCAT® is adopted rapidly in the worldwide market of control and automation.

Bronkhorst has many years of experience with fieldbus communication. With their "multi-bus" concept the company offers flexibility by equipping their digital instruments with interface boards for DeviceNet™, Profibus-DP®, Modbus or FLOW-BUS. The wide range of digital metering and control devices is applied in many different markets, e.g. the food & beverage and chemical industries, gas and fluid analysis equipment, glass and tool coating processes, testing fuel cells for the automotive industry and in machinery used to produce electronic chips, LED lights and solar cells.

Which Coriolis Instrument

CoriCalc on the Net provides advice and information to assist in selection of the right Coriolis instrument for your application.

 

This instrument sizing and calculation tool for Bronkhorst Coriolis meters and controllers is integrated as part of our Fluidat on the Net.

If you are registered for Fluidat then you have access to CoriCalc and the following functionality:

  

 

- Advice for up to 2 sensors and 3 valves as options

 

- Pressure drop calculation for mini CORI-FLOW™ and CORI-FLOW instruments

  

- Valve orifice calculation for Bronkhorst and other (special) valves

 

- Density, viscosity and phase of fluid (if available in FLUIDAT®)

 

- Overview of total errors and pressure drops at several flow rates for selected instrument
