Bronkhorst Helps Candy Company

Challenged by their outdated recipe mixing systems, budgetary constraints and a turbulent economy, a leading European candy manufacturer, who depends on accuracy and repeatability to maintain the quality of product, sought out Bronkhorst Cori-Tech to help streamline and improve their processes and cut costs. Bronkhorst engineers identified current system weak points and recommended a CORI-FILL™ solution.

CEM system for Vaporization

The CEM-System (Controlled Evaporation and Mixing) is an innovative Liquid Delivery System (LDS) that can be applied for atmospheric or vacuum processes.

CEM SystemThe vaporizer system consists of a liquid flow controller, an MFC for carrier gas and a temperature controlled mixing and evaporation device.

The system is suitable for mixing liquid flows of 0.25-1200 g/h resulting in saturated vapor flows of 50 sccm up to 100 SLM.

This vaporizer system can replace bubblers. Even solids, dissolved in solvents, can be vaporized successfully.

See It on Your PC

IdeaA question frequently asked is:

How can the information from a Bronkhorst instrument be seen on a PC?

Connection to a PC through an RS232 connection can be made using a split adaptor cable.  The cable allows power to be applied to the connector on the instrument while at the same time allowing for connection to the PC serial port.  There is a cable for 9 pin D-type connectors and a cable for DIN8 style connectors.

Also required is the software on the CD that was included with the Bronkhorst instrument.  If need be, you can download the software from here: http://downloads.bronkhorst.com.

You will use FlowDDE (a DDE server) to establish communication with the instrument, and then FlowPlot to select the parameters as well as to view the parameter values.  Most often viewed parameters are Measured Value, Set Point, and Valve Output.
