MASS-STREAM® D-6300 Picks Up Some Hardware

Pittcon 2010_Award
The new  M+W Mass Stream® D-6300 has been awarded the Silver Gas Award by Gases & Instrument International magazine!

The presentation was made at the PITTCON Exhibition in Orlando, and Nicolaus Dirscherl, Managing Director of M+W Instruments (left), and Chris King, General Manager of Bronkhorst USA (right) were on hand to accept the award.

Each year Gases & Instrumentation International magazine recognizes innovative and exciting products that are new to the market.

Of note is that this is the second year in a row for a Bronkhorst product to be awarded a prize; last year (2009) the Mass View was awarded the Golden Gas Award.

Liquid Delivery System with Vapor Control

CEM System
In many cases small concentrations of vapors are made by bubbling
a carrier gas through the fluid. This method requires optimium
pressure and temperature control of the bubbler system, which is expensive. Moreover, the response time is very slow, the absolute accuracy is low and the bubbler system has a poor long term stability.

Bronkhorst USA propose a much more direct approach: control the required quantity of liquid to reach the desired
concentration, under room temperature, with a LIQUI-FLOW  or μ-FLOW  liquid Mass Flow Meter. This instrument forms part of a  CEM system  in which the defined quantity of liquid is mixed with the carrier gas and vaporized.

The method is straightforward, and virtually any concentration can be made in a matter of seconds with high accuracy and repeatability.

Features
> accurately controlled gas/liquid mixture
> fast response
> high reproduceability
> very stable vapour flow
> flexible selection of gas/liquid ratio
> lower working temperature than conventional systems
> optional control by PC/PLC (RS232/fieldbus)

Flow ranges (based on water)
> 0.25 g/h to 1200 g/h

OEM Specific Solutions

Bronkhorst offers innovative solutions for many different applications in many different markets. The instruments are made to customers' specification, with configurations that are suitable for use in laboratory, industrial environment, hazardous areas or semiconductor installations.

FLOW-SMS
SMS Flow
The FLOW-SMS Series, is a compact mounting rail system with one or more mass flow or pressure sensor modules that can be combined with control valves, shut-off valves, mixing chambers, filters or any other functional module as per customer's request. The specifications are open for discussion.

MANIFLOW
SMS Flow
The MANI-FLOW Series originate from the demand of OEM's to design an economical solution that combines various functions into one compact device.

On a compact manifold one or more mass flow or pressure sensor modules can be combined with control valves, two- or three-way valves, shut-off valves, filters or any other functional module as per customer's request. On request, the system will be assembled, tested and packaged in a clean room.

IQ+FLOW Mutli-Channel
SMS Flow
Equipment manufacturers are looking for compact solutions to monitor or control the gas flow or pressure in their system.

Previously, conventional Mass Flow and Pressure Meters and Controllers have needed a footprint of 1.5". Bronkhorst has developed the IQ+FLOW Mass Flow sensor.

Due to the use of micro solid state technology (MEMS), Bronkhorst has been able to halve the footprint dimension to 0.75", thereby realizing the ultra compact flow and pressure controllers.
