"Listen and you can hear, smell and you can sense, open your eyes and what a revelation."   

And what a revelation it was for me!  In the months following Hurricane Katrina in 2005, I was involved with several fundraising efforts to support its victims. But not until this past July was I able to see first hand the extent of the physical and human devastation. My eyes were opened wide, I saw and heard first hand of the human suffering that has and STILL exists in New Orleans.

I am so proud of the "Mermaids", Susie and Stacy, for getting me involved in Operation Outreach. It was most uplifting and gratifying to know that our peers in the Special Event industry could bond together so quickly and  "make things happen". And we truly made it happen.

Larry Green

Jason Poliarco has joined our team as the Linen Department Manager. He oversees the daily operations of the linen department from cleaning, pressing, and storage to pulling orders and prepping for shipment. Jason has extensive experience in warehouse management and worked previously for a fast paced military and industrial battery manufacturing plant.  Needless to say, he knows how urgent a shipment can be, and how to make it all happen! He has brought an excellent ability to lead our linen department team in a fun, positive, and efficient work environment. Jason is excited for his new journey with us - and we are excited, too!

Congratulations to Katie Gold (now Katie Cole) and her new husband Brad. The two were wed at the Ritz Carlton Boston Common on Labor Day weekend.

Since we are talking about rings and wedding bells, congratulations also to Michaela Corso and Jenna Howard on each of their own engagments. We are so happy for them both!

Babies, babies, everywhere!

Congratulations are also in order for Stephanie Solomon and her husband, Jay, on the birth of their baby boy, Luke Adam Solomon, in July. We are proud to report that mom and child are doing great, and Steph is back at work!
