 Welcome to the Table! I can't believe it is Spring already. Where did the time go? Now it's back to the busy season. Here at Rentals Unlimited, we are geared up and ready to fly and "make it all happen" for your events. With many new items in stock, please feel free to make an appointment to visit any of our convenient showrooms and see the new inventory and hottest trends.
We want to thank everyone for the great response to last month's announcement regarding delivery and order fulfillment procedures. We have gotten some great feed back and are proud to be working with you to make the process more efficient to better serve you.
The new catalog is just getting its final touches and will be "going green" this year. In an effort to save some trees and reduce our overall environmental footprint, we will be making a handy thumb drive instead of our regular printed catalogs and price lists. This way you can either download the info onto your computer, or just plug in the drive to your laptop or computer when needed. Stay tuned to find out when your Account Executive will be dropping by with new swatches and your electronic catalog.

On the Move
A Glamorous Time at TSE
Reflections of Glamour (or Glama for you Rhode Islanders) was a featured showcase at The Special Event 2011 Wedding Gallery.
This collaboration with local vendors focused on Old Hollywood style, compete with purples, silvers, sparkles, and - of course - glam! Custom linens, themed menu and place cards, monogrammed chairs, and perfectly stylized decor and furniture brought this special showcase to life.
After several months of hard work, detailing, meetings, conference calls, and more detailing, it was a fabulous site to see when everything came together, and the dreams of the design team finally came to fruition.
It just goes to show - New England has some the best special event professionals around!

Details, details details! Some days, you may think that our Event Rental Consultants may ask too many questions. I know when you are busy those questions can be a pain in the tuckus. But please keep in mind that we are just trying to get as many details as possible so we can prepare the product and make the delivery according to your needs and wants. So when we ask what you are doing with it - example pipe and drape - we are not being nosy. We just want to make sure we are providing the right product for your needs. Is if for decorative use? Is it to block an unbearable view of say, the dumpster? How high are the ceilings? (Because 8' pipe and drape won't fit in a room with ceilings of 7' 11".) Is it to block light? (Because that is a whole separate product!) Now I am not an electrician... but another helpful hint (which I remember from shop class - yes I took shop, my father made me do it!) is: When you have an item that needs electricity, be careful not to use too many extension cords and use the correct type. The longer the path the electricity has to travel along an extension cord, the higher the chance that you are not getting full power, and the equipment may not work right.So be cautious when you put that popcorn popper in the middle of the field 100 yards from any electric sources. And remember percolators draw a hell of a lot of power! (I may have just dated myself, but you get the point!) Last but certainly not least, AFR has introduced a fab new style of table called the Club Table.I can't wait to use it! The table comes in four sizes, with three different leg heights, with a frosted top or, for a little extra money, a mirror top insert and it LIGHTS up! How great is that? Until next time! - DaVeed
