 Welcome to the Table!
Another year has past and a new chapter of exciting challenges and memorable experiences lies ahead of us. As we all work together to make this the best year yet, we reflect on the year past. Here at Rentals Unlimited, we have made our own New Years resolutions to continue to provide the best products and service possible.
We are kicking off 2011 by doing a complete inventory of our products. Doing this will ensure that we are delivering the utmost for every order.
We are also preparing for The Special Event 2011 conference, January 25th - 28th at the Phoenix Convention Center. We will be presenting a class called "4 Parties and a Budget". Come find out how you can plan 4 gorgeous events and stick to your clients' budgets. We will also be showcasing in the Wedding Gallery and the Wedding Luncheon. If you will be in Phoenix, please be sure to stop by and say "hello"!

Happy New Year! Oy vey...another year older and 20lbs heavier! Other than that, 2011 is going to be a great year!
Last month I went to the annual fabric show in North Carolina and learned several valuable lessons.
1. Never take a "bride to be" with you.
2. "Faux" natural fabrics are becoming more & more popular.
Who knew that you can turn the sisters Poly & Ester into fabric that has a look like refined burlap?!?
3. Texture, texture, texture.
So many textures, so little time... I don't know how you would set a table with glassware on some of them, but they are perfect for cake tables and some specialty tables.
I know Pantone has picked honeysuckle pink (very close to coral) as the color for 2011. This fabulous color was showcased on the latest InStyle Magazine and many other fashion and decor publications. I am not sure it will hit the 2011 wedding market... maybe 2012. It is always hard to tell - brides can be fickle and trendy! Currently, we are still seeing a lot of purples and plums coming up in 2011. In fact, I was celebrating the New Year down in sunny Florida with 18 friends and looked around the room and saw about 80% of them wearing some shade of purple!
Who knows if I am right or wrong or even close, but what fun I have looking at all the different industry trends from fashion, home interiors, advertising and hospitality and guessing what's coming up next. Stay tuned for more fun tidbits in our next e-news!

In The Green House
Somebody's getting married... and having babies, too! Wedding bells will be ringing!
Deanna Cotter and her beau, Mark, will be walking down the aisle in March.
Dana Green and her husband-to-be, Jordan, will say "I do" in May.
Kate Gold and her fiance, Brad, plan their nuptials for September.
_____________________  We can almost hear the pitter-patter of little feet!
Jenna Amara and her husband, Larry, will be welcoming their second child, a baby boy, in March.
Stephanie Solomon and her husband, Jay, will also be celebrating the birth of their second child in July.

2010 - The Year In Review
Celebrating 2010: - Rentals Unlimited wins the 2010 Tabletop Competition at The Special Event in New Orleans.
- Larry Green is awarded the 2010 Spotlight Award for Samaritan of the Year at the Event Solutions and Catersource conference.
- New showrooms opened in Providence, RI, Portland, ME, and Hyannis, MA.
- Rentals Unlimited purchased Festive Occasions.
- Rentals Unlimited is featured on WeTV's Platinum Weddings.
- Rentals Unlimited joined forces with AFR Special Event Furnishings to become the exclusive North East distributor for special event furniture.
- Rentals Unlimited, Entertainment Specialists, Adroit Hospitality Group, and Saphire Estate are awarded the 2010 ISES Esprit Award for the Best ISES Team Effort Budget up to $75,000.
- Construction at the Rentals Unlimited Corporate HQ is completed, expanding the office space and updating the showroom.
- Daveed Does Paris with Event Jubilee.
- ISES New England - Larry Green is installed as President, Kate Gold is installed as VP of Programs & Education.
- ISES Rhode Island - Allison Boyd is installed as Director of Membership.
- Rentals Unlimited is featured on The Style Network's Whose Wedding is it Anyway?
- Warehouse space is expanded and revamped, including a brand new, state of the art linen facility.
- Inventory is streamlined - out with the old to make room for the new!
- Rentals Unlimited is nominated and wins for Best Rentals on the Boston City Voter A-List.
