NAM Table
January 14, 2010 - New Orleans, LA :

Rentals Unlimited has been named the winner of the Tabletop Competition at The Special Event Show 2010 in New Orleans, LA.  Proud to have been selected as a finalist for the competition, Rentals Unlimited was one of only ten entries selected as finalists from the many submissions received from across the globe. There were two categories: Tabletops under $1,000, and Tabletops $1,000 or greater. Each category was comprised of five contestants. The table concept of "The Ball of 2010" earned Rentals Unlimited First Place in the $1,000 or greater category.  After weeks of fine tuning and décor fabrication, the table, chairs, china, and décor were shipped to the New Orleans convention center. The Rentals staff set up the table on Tuesday, January 12, and it will be on display at the conference for the remainder of the week.

The Tabletop Competition was judged by ten nationally recognized event specialists.  The winner from each category was announced on Wednesday, January 13, at the Opening General Session of the conference. The tabletop design was created by David Price, Director of Product Development at Rentals Unlimited. Also attending are: Larry Green, President; Dana Green, Event Rental Consultant; Michaela Corso, Event Rental Consultant; Filomena Felix, Regional Sales Director; and Desiree Modano, Director of Marketing.

NAM Table     "Rosecliff, The Breakers, and Marble House are few of the many summer "cottages" that were the background for many dinners, balls and costume parties that made up the social whirl of Newport, RI during the Gilded Age.  Famous architects such as Richard Morris Hunt, Ogden Codman and Stanford White were inspired by the Old World artisans and craftsmen.  Each socialite hosted fabulous parties including a fairy tale dinner, Tiffany Ball, Jewel Treasure Hunt, BAL Blanc, Pink Ball and a party featuring famed magician Harry Houdini.  These American Treasures inspired our table - classic, opulent and grandiose.  We are taking a classic look and combining it with the opulence and grandeur of the Gilded Age and bringing it to the 20th century with a modern twist." - Designer David Price, Rentals Unlimited.

From Special Events Magazine:
"This one-of-a-kind display of tabletop wizardry on the trade show floor will amaze and inspire you to new levels of creativity in your own tabletop designs. Top designers from all over the world compete in this annual tabletop design competition. You get to see all the designs, and see which one finally wins."

Formal photos of this amazing tabletop design will be available to view next week at www.rentals-unlimited.net as well as featured in the upcoming issue of The Special Event Magazine
