Working with Men and Boys to Prevent IPV: Lessons Learned from DELTA Programs

Working with men and boys is a growing strategy for primary prevention of intimate partner violence, and one that a number of states have been focused on in recent years.  Delaware's DELTA project is proud to be part of this important effort, with the spring launch of DCADV's Delaware Men's Education Network (Delaware M.E.N.), whose mission is "to involve men in promoting healthy, safe relationships."

Delaware M.E.N. Coordinator Scott Michels participated in a Prevent Connect webinar last month to discuss successes and challenges to beginning this active volunteer group.  In this interactive web conference, several DELTA programs share experiences in developing, implementing and evaluating local prevention programs. Listen to the webinar to learn from practitioners in the field about the challenges, opportunities and resources to create change in communities. (Note: Scott begins speaking about the Delaware M.E.N. project on Slide 29.)
