DCADV's 1st Members Only Event

members chattingOn the warm summer evening of August 2nd, DCADV was joined by Supporting Members and their guests at the home of DCADV Board Member Carol Arnott Robbins and her husband Tucker Robbins for our first ever Members Only Event. This was a chance for DCADV staff and board members to meet, talk with and thank many of our members for their support. Executive Director Carol Post reiterated the importance of membership: both the power in numbers supporting our mission and how unrestricted membership fees support much of our work that is not grant funded.

This event was sponsored by Performance Consultant Group Inc. Premier Wine & Spirits generously donated red and white wine and delicious hors d'oeuvres were provided at a discount by Movable Feast.

Thank you to all of our sponsors and our wonderful members! We look forward to seeing you all again at a future Members Only Event!  Click here to view photos from the event.

What is disability?  A disability is a physical, sensory, intellectual or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities. A disability may be temporary - for instance a broken bone - or lifelong. It may be visible, or it may not be apparent. Mental illness is considered a disability as it may limit a person's ability to work or live independently.  Read more...

Share Your Thoughts

DCADV launched this monthly e-newsletter one year ago, in August 2010. We hope it has been a resource to help you learn more about DCADV, domestic violence, our members and partners, and opportunities and initiatives of interest to you.

Can you please take a moment to let us know: Do you like it?  What do you like about it? What would you like to see added? What do you find useful?  Please "reply" to this email or send a new email to mauz@dcadv.org. Your feedback will be very helpful and appreciated! Thank you!
