New Statewide Project to Serve & Protect Victims with Disabilities |
The Delaware Coalition Against Domestic Violence announced today that it has begun a collaborative project with the National Alliance on Mental Illness of Delaware and the Center for Disabilities Studies at the University of Delaware to enhance services and resources for victims of abuse who have disabilities. The collaborative received a grant of $527,081 from the "Education, Training and Enhanced Services to End Violence Against and Abuse of Women with Disabilities Discretionary Grant Program (Disability Grant Program)." April 6th: 2nd Annual 5k Run/Walk for Awareness at Dravo Plaza, Wilmington Riverfront - Registration at 5:30pm / Race at 6:30pm
April 11th: Proclamation Signing at 9:00am in the 7th floor conference room of the Carvel State Office Building in Wilmington
April 13th: 20th Annual Crime Victims' Tribute at 6:00pm at the Dover Sheraton. |

DCADV invites you to join us for an open house in our new office on the 9th floor of the Community Service Building on Monday, April 25th from 4:30pm to 6:30pm.
Drop by on your way home from work and enjoy light refreshments while you hear from Senator Coons and his staff about the priorities of his new administration and their partnership and support of DCADV, learn more about DCADV and Member Organization initiatives, and meet the DCADV staff.

Students Work Together to Raise Funds and Awareness of Domestic Violence |
As warm weather and graduation approach, University of Delaware students can find it hard to focus on coursework. But students taking a Domestic Violence Services course are able to take their lessons out of the classroom. They are working on a cell phone drive that reaches beyond campus into the local community. Proceeds from the collection efforts will support various advocacy and educational efforts offered by the Delaware Coalition Against Domestic Violence throughout Delaware. Read more... |
