Greetings!
What an exciting month it has been for Uplift Education. This May marked Uplift's 9th graduating class from North Hills Prep and our first graduation for our oldest urban school, Peak Prep.
We're extremely proud of both schools for graduating 100% of their seniors and having 100% of their seniors accepted to colleges and universities across the nation. Combined, these students received more than $5 million in scholarship awards. Some of the schools that Uplift Education graduates will be attending in the fall are Texas Christian University, Southwestern University, University of Michigan, University of Texas, University of North Texas, Baylor University, Austin College, Stephen F. Austin State University, George Washington University and Duke University.
Even though school is out for the summer, it's a busy time for Uplift Education. With two new schools set to open in August, construction of Heights Prep and Laureate Prep is moving fast. We've also got renovations going on at our existing campuses, including a new secondary school building for Summit International Prep, a new primary school building at Williams Prep, a 12,000-square foot classroom building for North Hills Prep, and upgrades for two science labs at Hampton Prep.
Lastly, I hope you will join Uplift staff and families in attending one of the DFW screenings of The Lottery next Tuesday, June 8. This is a great feature-length documentary about a charter school in New York. Details about the screenings are below.
Shine through, Yasmin Bhatia, CEO
P.S. We will be chronicling the transformation of our new schools on our
Facebook page, so make sure to become a fan today!
