Greetings!

Homeless
2011 promises to be another challenging year.  The economy, foreclosures, unemployment, increasing homelessness and pets of the homeless are glaring concerns.

America has a big heart.  We're tugging at your sleeves in hopes you'll be able to loosen your purse strings enough to give more.  Pets of the Homeless needs your help in the outreach to help treat, spay/neuter, vaccinate and care for the animals with so little.

May your Holidays be full of peace, love and prosperity.
Donations at Work

Pets of the Homeless was honored to receive a $3500 from The Ann Brown Foundation which has an expressed interest in helping small organizations they believe may produce a relatively larger impact.

With this generous donation, Pets of the Homeless was able to award grants across the county to:

MaRila Veterinary Clinic, Cross Plains, WI

Mission Free Veterinary Clinic, Spokane, WA

Boulevard Pet Hospital, Castro Valley, CA

Senior Citizens Service Center, Murrieta, CA

All Creatures Veterinary Hospital, Mariposa, CA

In future newsletters, we will be featuring each grant recipient and the outcome of their project.

Annual Campaign

So many nonprofit organizations struggle for mere existence to meet day to day needs.  Some folks, despite their own struggles, step up and help by giving pet food to Pets of the Homeless volunteer donation sites across the U.S. and in Canada.

Once again, it is the generosity and kindness of volunteers who make the difference.  Food and life sustaining supplies are provided for pets of the homeless at Pets of the Homeless Distribution Centers.  These loyal pets have food available so they can eat during the bitter cold of winter.  The homeless with pets feel one less worry because of you.

During the holidays as we see our own pet curled in a blanket, lying in front of a warm fire, or on our lap, thoughts go to pets of the homeless who are dependant upon unfortunate owners who struggle to survive themselves.

Sadly too few shelters allow homeless with pets to stay.  If you know of a willing shelter, tell them about Pets of the Homeless Crate ProjectToo many homeless with their pets are on the freezing streets, cuddled together, wherever they can find a space sheltered from the weather, wind and cold.

New donation sites are essential in our outreach to help pets of the homeless.  We appreciate beyond words all volunteers who recruit new sites to receive pet food donations and talk with homeless shelters and food banks about Pets of the Homeless Program.  You give us the determination to continue our efforts.

The work of Pets of the Homeless is all about its volunteers and the lives of animals touched because of you.  Your donations help provide food, supplies and veterinary care for animals of impoverished people.  Such professional pet health care would not happen without the kindness of volunteer veterinarians and your donations.

Our all-volunteer organization has no paid staff and relies on donations to support pets of the homeless nationally.  Our obligations continue to grow with the need.  The more you donate, the more animals will be helped.  Some of our donors make a pledge and others set up monthly donations which are tax deductible.

Won't you please continue your support with a donation of $25, $50 or even $100, which will make it possible for Pets of the Homeless to provide the necessary resources and continue this important outreach.

Please contact us if you want to join as a life saver of of animals who are dependant on the homeless.  Thank-you

Your generous holiday gift of a cash donation will provide food and care to many pets of the homeless across the country.  Your gift may be made in memory or in honor of a beloved pet or a special person in your life.
