refurbished in January 2012 and will be a like "brand new ship."
Some of the exciting things being added will be: Movies Under The Stars, a Wine Bar, Tea House, Adults only Sanctuary, and all newly renovated cabins!.

e Jewels for a relaxing week sailing from Los Angeles to Vancouver. Day tours or shop till you drop. The choice is yours! Explore the spectacular western coast as we cruise north to Vancouver. Discover California's wine country, go wine tasting at wineries in Santa Barbara and San Francisco or take a tour of Alcatraz, take in the beauty of the Golden Gate Bridge or wander Fisherman's Wharf after a ride on a cable car. Enjoy Astoria and tax-free shopping in Oregon then how about taking in the breath-taking views of Puget Sound from atop the Seattle Tower. Maybe touring Buchart Gardens is your idea of a fine day enjoying all the spring flowers, and maybe the more adventurous will take in a day of zip-lining through the forest, or a game of golf nearby. Some may prefer to wander downtown and the beauty of the Harbour or maybe you'd like to do "High Tea" at the Empress Hotel. There's so much to do in all the ports!
While onboard there are evening dinners with the Jewels, meeting new friends from across the country, or maybe dinner one evening in a specialty restaurant? A lazy day by the pool with a good book might be more your style, or try your luck in the Casino. There is entertainment in the evenings, movies to watch, - you won't be bored!
Some of you may wish to fly into Los Angeles a day or two early for some shopping, sight-seeing (maybe Disneyland or Universal Studios?) There's always so much to do!

Please note that prices may fluctuate and may well come down as they did last year as we get closer to the cruise date. Should the price drop, you will reap the benefit up until the time final payment is due. Prices also depend on the location of your cabin on the ship and the cabin type.
Most first-time cruisers prefer to be lower and in the middle of the ship. The cabins on the "starboard" (right) side will sell out quickly as they will have the best views of the shore/landscape of the stunning west coast. Don't delay. If interested, book the cabin "of your choice" now. You can always change or cancel up to the date of the final payment. Depending on the number of Jewels booked, there may be more perks added.

Air not included as many use points to book their flights or watch for seat sales. Those who went last year will know that there are often price REDUCTIONS as we get closer to the sailing date which is a nice bonus if we get one!
If we all wanted to be on the same level close together, Christine suggests booking an Inside II or a Balcony BB on the Aloha Deck.
Flights:
This is in the "low" season so if you use the Blue "AirMiles" card the flight to LA from BC it's only 720 (Gold) - 960 (Regular) "AirMiles" points. (www.airmiles.ca)
AirCanada today was offering flights for $219.00 to L.A.
Princess also offers an air program. The travel agent can help you with your flights or you are free to book your own.
Hotel:
For those interested, you may book one night at the Marriott in L.A. for $118 or 2 nights for $167 (these prices include your transfers ($53) to and from the airport and ship in both directions so these are extremely low prices for a Los Angeles hotel (approx. $65/night). The gals last year said it's a really nice hotel.
Dinner: We would like to all sit together at dinner. The second sitting is at 8:14pm which might be too late for some of you, but we are in the ports quite late into the evenings and we don't want you to miss out on fun ashore. Please let me know your preference for early or late seating and we'll go with the majority. Last year the early seating was at 5:15pm and many found this too early. Let us know your thoughts.

Many cabin types are already WAIT-LIST only. If you are the "least" interested, or think you might be at a later date, you MUST book now. Your deposit is FULLY REFUNDABLE up until February 27, 2012 when final payment is due. If you don't get the cabin you prefer, book something else and ask to be wait-listed for your preferred cabin.
