Dear Friend,

Pornography use is widespread with significant consequences to children, women and men. Two weeks ago, I joined recognized experts for an event on Capitol Hill, 'Pornography Harms: What Congress Can do to Enforce Existing Laws'.  During the event, we discussed the four leading harms of pornography; how existing laws can and should be enforced against illegal material, and want Congress can do to protect and prosecute.

During my presentation (which you can watch in full in the "Favorites" section of our YouTube channel), I highlighted how statistics show that 7 in 10 kids have accidentally accessed pornography, and 1 in 3 youth who viewed pornography, viewed pornography intentionally. Additionally, I highlighted how Internet pornographers have been great innovators and use clever and deceptive marketing tactics to reach anyone and everyone-including kids.

This summer, kids are undoubtedly going to be spending more time online.  Remember to talk to your kids about healthy sexuality and utilize our simple Internet Safety 101 Rules 'N Tools on all Internet-enabled devices to protect your kids from dangerous content online.

For the sake of the children,

Donna Rice Hughes
President, Enough Is Enough
