"Amazing" That's how our very own Director, JoAnn Vindigni, described the keynote speaker at the 19th Soroptimist International Convention held in Montréal, Canada, July 10 - 14. "
CRR District 4 Director Dora Zavala , JoAnn Vindigni, and Cheri Fleming (GEM & SIA Board) were three of fourteen representatives from our Camino Real Region who participated a variety of activities that centered on the convention theme: "Women: Leaders in Civil Society".

Almost 200 leaders from across the breadth of Soroptimist International of the Americas gathered to share resources and brainstorm for future increased effectiveness. The four topics of Public Awareness, Fund-Raising, Membership, and Programs each were examined in intensive break-out sessions in order to provide input to and learn from the staff and Board of SIA.

Motivational and informative speeches were delivered in general session by incoming President Pat Donohoe, and others, along with thought-provoking leadership training.
