Please join us for our NAMI meetings to hear local speakers, get answers to questions, share stories and find support.  February's guest speaker is Stacy Martz, Executive Director of PLAN of Southwest Ohio.  Stacy will talk about Cognitive Enhancement Therapy (CET).  This is an evidence based practice that helps people with schizophrenia and related mental illnesses improve their cognition and social abilities.  CET attempts to "jump start" the brain and re-engage individuals in the process of developing social and cognitive function.  This is another tool to promote recovery along with medication and counseling.  PLAN has reported amazing results with CET.  Come hear about this new therapy!

NAMI Ambassadors to Faith Communities 

 

NAMI Butler County is seeking individuals to act as NAMI ambassadors to their faith community.  We believe that the faith community plays an important role in recovery and can be a valuable partner with NAMI.  To that end, we would like to promote our new DVD in places of worship in the county.  We would also like to extend personal invitations to staff in the faith community for our 2nd annual Faith Conference being sponsored by Lindner Center of Hope, Butler, Hamilton, Clermont and Warren County NAMIs in May.
