NAMI Butler County Offices
5963 Boymel Drive, Fairfield OH 45014
(Same location as the Butler County Mental Health Board)
Greetings!
Please join us for the next NAMI meeting to hear local speakers, get answers to questions, share stories and find support.  The featured presentation begins at 7:00 p.m.

November's featured speaker is Lea Menninger from Northland Intervention Center, a pysician-driven treatment program that specializes in drug and alcohol addiction and dual diagnosis (mental illness and a drug/alcohol addiction) treatment.   The facility is located in Milford, Ohio.  While dual diagnoses is a common and very difficult condition to treat, Northland Intervention's philosophy works to restore hope to families by helping patients achieve sobriety and long-term recovery through its individually tailored outpatient services for adolescents, adults and their families.  Our November 19th program will highlight how they have successfully worked toward achieving this goal since 1984.

Thanks to the efforts of Sue Williston, we recieved a check for $103.00 that represents 20% of dinners ordered on October 14th by NAMI supporters who had Max & Erma coupons issues to our non-profit NAMI affiliate.  Thanks to all who participated in this fundraiser as well!
Light the MATCH Concert at Redeemer Church

The first concert sponsored by Miami University School of Nursing under the leadership of Nursing Professor Paula Harrison and jointly supported by Transitional Living, Inc. and NAMI Butler County was a great success.  Two outstanding bands provided the music free of charge and snacks and refreshments were provided by Miami University Hamilton Campus.  It was a great event enjoyed by all in attendance...so great, in fact, we hope for a repeat next year.  Special thanks goes to Pastor Kim, who enthusiastically embraced the idea of the concert and offered his church's auditorium, dining room and kitchen facilities to make it a reality.  Special thanks also goes to Ron Williston who had the original idea for the concert and who promoted it to members of his Friendship Club and others in the community.
